The new rink will not be ready until November 30th.
All home games until that date to be played at Deeside/Blackburn/Ice Sheffield.
Apparently the club was only informed this afternoon.

Ouch!
Fingers crossed that Phoenix can cope with any financial implications from this.

The club was informed today. i have no doubt the contrators knew.
Taken from the Phoenix forum:
The new estimated date for completion is the 30th of November leaving room obviously for any further problems that may occur. The problems that have caused this were due to the building being so close to the railway tracks aswell as some issues with the bridge for driving the foundation piles. Aditionaaly there were ossues with the old iron foundary basements on the site aswell as some further problems with the ground in the forms instability and contamination, manifesting themselves as methane, oil/petrol and traces of arsenic. Due to the above problems the company is now on it's 4th major foundation redesign using 2 types of piling depending on where they're being driven. The water is already laid from what I understood so I'd assume the rest of the utilities may be aswell.
The club was offered ice time by Deeside, Ice Sheffield and Blackburn incase there were any problems. Further to this , as the question was asked elsewhere, I did catch mention that the coaches for the season ticket holders would be free and likely from the Altrincham site.
Also due to the delays the season tickets are due to go back on sale with the early bird offer.
The confirmed sponsor list that I caught (Neil and myself may have missed one or two) is: Ice Associates - as our main sponsor Sports Cafe Comtec MEN Channel M Zoom Nicholsons

That's not good news. I hope a couple of months on the road doesn't do them any long term damage. Looking at the fixture list we're due to play Manchester away twice before the new completion date.
