Costs enough to get the Arena for League games, doubt they could afford it for a pre season friendly when there aint much chance of a big turn out unless they played some big Euro team there. Not keen on playing league opposition in warm up games like a lot of other teams do either. Glad we don't get involved in them.

I seem to remember quite a few home friendlys in the past and all had not even half full arena so I think you are right in saying that the cost is the reason why

We played AK Bars Kazan a few years back aswell.
I think they thumped us 6 -1 but I am not sure.

I'm sure we played Dynamo Moscow 3 or 4 years back as well think we drew but not sure.. I got one of the Dynamo tops. Edit: I was right on the score but didn't realise it was all the way back on boxing day in 2001! Summary of the game from Panthers History...

I think the AK Bars Kazan game was the Pre-season game for that season.
IIRC they (AK Bars) also played against Manchester.

I'm sure we played Huddinge IK once...? 7th November 2001 - I have only included pre-season challenge games in the list as that was the topic of the original post. Huddinge is Calle's old team from the mid-90's. For the record we beat them 10-2.

sorry baz but thats really anal.... Irrespective of the level of truth in your unhumorous and verbose statement above, your bank manager will agree with my response that any comments as to the rectal nature of my sporting knowledge should indeed be self generated, as those travelling in an opposing direction could well result in an on-cost of fifty a month. If you catch my drift......
