5-1 eh? I know it`s really early and i know it`s not fair to judge him yet,but EL lets in half of their shots and we get 1 out of 10

Panthers Web Page
Getting better The second training camp game of the GMB Panthers tour to France and Switzerland had to be abandoned because of problems with the ice at Geneva.
At the time of the abandonment the home side were one-nil ahead. The sides staged a penalty shoot-out to entertain the crowd which involved ten shots per side. Geneva won the shoot-out 5-1 but it was the performance in the main game that impressed head coach Mike Ellis.
In fact the only goal of the game came when the guesting fourth line of Geneva's younger players was on the ice for Nottingham.
Head coach Mike Ellis, who had praised his side's first period against Morzine 24 hours earlier and put the defeat down to tired legs against a side that had been in training since the start of the month, hailed tonight's game against Chris McSorley's side as "an even better team performance".
Geneva recently beat Morzine by six goals, but the visitors were still well in the game at the time that the ice became unusable.

Lets stop rolling the excuses quite so much, we don't care about friendly results.

According to the Evening Post, McSorley thinks we have a good squad. The only goal Geneva scored was against a line of young Swiss players loaned to Panthers to match up the lines.
McSorley also said that the Panthers should keep the fans happy this season.

This is my first mildly critical comment on the new team. 3.This season,in the event of a tie,and after sudden death, the results will depend on penalty shoot outs.I was a tad concerned that our goalie appeared to struggle with that. 4.I also insinuated in my following post that if GW was in goal then it wasn`t a big deal.

I'm not sure what save percentages are supposed to be like when it comes to shoot-outs, but I think I'm more concerned with our forwards only scoring 1 than I am with our goalie "only" saving 6.

One of the factors about Lindsay that Mike Ellis pointed out at the Q&A was that he was a good netminder against penalty shots (he gave the example of EL stoning Ellis's Bracknell Bees in two successive penalty shoot-outs... something like letting in only 1 goal in 10 shots?). We shall see....
