Be funny though.

ellis always said he would have him cos of him leaving mid season. Maybe corey doesnt feel the same.
Tessier has said he will never play in nottingham again though didnt he?
Who knows.......
Id take him in a heartbeat. One of the best players I have seen in recent years.
Isnt he going back to Europe though? ............................. (again)

You couldn't not have him as his talent is exceptional for the level of hockey in this country and he would be a credit to any team in this league.
You would have to be wary that he would jump ship but better to have him for a while than not at all.
However whatever people think of him i doubt he will be in EIHL at the start of next season.

Panthers had him "for a while" though Spence and it completely disrupted our season to the point it went right down hill from him leaving onwards... we can do without that influence on the season thank you...
Having said that it is undoubted that tess is a good player and IF he can guarantee a full season as he did at steelers few seasons back then would enhance any team, problem is though i think he has bought into the "family" brainwashing that simmsy spouts so i cannot ever see him coming back to Nottingham no matter how much money is offered...

At his request his commitment to coming back this season was a contract for next season.
He prefers being a big fish in a small pond to a small fish in a big pond O)

Tbh i wasn't a fan of the sport when he was at panthers so don't have first hand experience, so my opinion is based entirely what i have seen over the past 2 seasons (sorry half seasons )

At his request his commitment to coming back this season was a contract for next season. Do you not think he did this just to cover his options though, having job security in case he can't find a more lucrative move?

We shall wait and see, but I really hope he stays. Absolute class act on the ice, and finding someone to replace him would be very tough!

I think as with all players he will go wherever he feels he can best provide for his future. Wouldn't you?
Personally I don't listen to all the he said this and that stuff. Even the stuff about never returning to Nottingham because of the way he feels you let him down.
Money talks, and not one of us would not even consider an option to 'upgrade' on some part of our packages.
He has a second year option with us, exactly the same as he did last year, I do know he likes the UK and enjoys Sheffield and loved his half year this term. He said it was likely he would return and he would like to.
I have even heard he may be bringing someone we all know with him....
I think a big part in getting players back to us next year is the room they were in this year. I know you hear it all the time but honestly I have never been around a dressing room that seemed so tight and of one mind.
It wouldn't surprise me to see him back in the UK next year, hopefully with us, but I wouldn't discount any team if the offer is right.

I reckon he won't be with you at the start of the season but he'll probably end up back by end of january again.

If dan comes back great , the season did change with him in the3 line up , but if he doesnt so be it , im sure matty will have a more than capable replacement lined up. It amazes me that all that has happened with your team in the last week you start a thread on tessier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Obsessed ? He is one player and doesnt make a team .
