I couldnt give a you know what about the score to be honest. Its all about what us footballers call 'match fitness'
Nice to see Cooke and Neil score and Matius hasn't lost his touch.
Lindsey will be fine i think, sharpness is the key, something that training sessions dont provide alone so these games are crucial.
No Sean M and a jet lagged Corey so 6-3 aint to shabby.... ;D

Don't think they'll cover another team's game. I think the Martigny game on Friday might be being played at Morzine. I have asked for programmes from the clubs involved and the guy from Morzine has sent me two (electronically). One for tonight and one for Friday's game. Both are Morzine style programmes, but one is for the game between Martigny and Panthers, i.e. one is the equivalent of Eye Of The Panther programme but for a game between, for example, Coventry v Cardiff. Dunno whether I'm making 2+2=5 or not. It's the first I have been aware of such an arrangement, and I stress, these are only my thoughts. To back this up, it's Martigny @ Morzine on Saturday (the next night). Anyone care to comment? I'll guess we'll know on Friday. Just checked the email from the guy at Martigny, and he asked if there will be any Panthers fans at Morzine for the game, so that seems to confirm my supposition.

We did alright. Pre season is all about fitness and finding your touch.
I see most have jumped on Lindsay. He wasn't that bad. He gave up 2 Powerplay goals, 1 short handed and 3 regular. However, he had a virtually non existant defence in front of him and generally when there was a working unit of d and n/m he looked pretty good.
Fitness wise, there's a long way to go. After the first period the players were dead. Ellis also gve this impression on the official website.
Against Martingy we'll probably be able to play for two periods this time instead of one.
No complaints though. After the 3rd game with Bracknell our skaters will be ready, we'll have two more imports in (who were missing last night) and i think we'll be good to go.
There were many positives to take from last night but remember its an exhibition match and you dont always see the quality of your team in an uncompetitive game.

Bit harsh to be criticising Lindsay isn't it? He's only just started!

Martin I'm new to this list but followed Lindsay when he played for Dundee and am a fan of his. To add to this post I heard that Lindsay was suffering from cramps during the game. Don't have any more details than that.
