As with last season it is time to start afresh I feel as everything is gearing up towards the new season kicking off on August 11.

It's looking promising.
Smith
Wilson Chambers Breckin Lockwood
Davies Cohen Lennon Commons
Tyson Agogo
Not a bad side at all. With the right management, that team would do well in the CCC.

Totally agree with Mr Upshall. If we can keep Holt then things are looking good.
The Chairman has done his bit for us yet again. Over to you CC.

Wilson! Not Yet!
Don't forget there is still Wes Morgan, Perch, McGugan, Clingan, Grant Holt and er, Scott Dobie.
Seems like a decent squad there.
EDIT: Sorry forgot Julian Bennett

I hope Breckin can step it up after his performances last season weren't exactly desirable, but that's just my opinion.
Either way, looking forward to this season now. With the squad we're putting together, for the first time EVER, I am fairly confident we can get something out of this season. Let's hope the squad building continues...
Just out of question, which Wilson are we talking about here?

Yes I'm living in the past but it hurts when i read threads like this and people are saying how good the squad looks. Come on guys, these are desperate times for us Reds.

Better to live in the present for the future.

In the future this period in Forest's history will be like a black hole nobody remembers.

Fingers crossed.
Unfortunately, for that to happen, in the meantime we kinda have to get out of this division and this team should be good enough to achieve that feat. Hence the fact that things are looking positive.

The squad is absolutely fine, and with one or two additions should storm the league. The two problems we have are firstly, a manager who cant put out an attacking team and will try and hold on to one goal leads all season, and secondly a large section of fans who will be quickly on the teams back if things are not going to plan.

Agree about Calderwood Shorty but I think Forest fans have shown a tremendous amount of patience. They have earned the right to moan. How many clubs would have maintained their fanbase the way Forest have given their recent history?

Forest fans have shown an enviable amount of patience and an enfuriating lack of it in the last few years. Sure, they show up in their droves, but they have give the team no chance whatsoever. Hard-working and deceptively useful players such as Williams, Taylor and Smith are shot down by morons who, if brains were petrol, wouldn't have enough power to drive round a penny.

The very same.
He scored a useful amount of goals (including some vital last minute efforts) and did a reasonable job yet got slaughtered by the fans.

I remember when Hart signed him, I wasn't over joyed but I thought he was a decent target man who did a good job for Forest.

Andrew Cole is leaving Pompey with Hull leading the chase. There are rumours again that we're after him.

Villa have signed Marlon Harewood for £4.5m, looks like Forest will be getting a nice little windfall. Does anybody remember what the percentage was?

If thats the case that should (maths and memory allowing) bring in more than the original transfer to WHU!

I think the fee is closer to £3.75m. Subtract the £500k we sold him for and it's 25% of £3.25m....
circa £800k.
Means we got £1.3m in total for a player who is now still only worth £3.7m years later. Good business indeed. Just like the JJ and Reid fees.
Forest should have retired the #3 shirt for Pearce. And Dessie's too.
