The booking fee of £1.50 per ticket is the same as last year to the 0870 phone no. or internet. Last year I'm sure postage was free or rather included in that price - this year they are charging £1.50 extra for postage. Last year if you booked within 7 days of the match you collected your ticket before the game and I assume this will be the same - they can't charge for postage - well, I say can't but...... I've posted the following on more than one previous occasion over the years- if you want to book by phone, don't phone the 0870 no. but phone the Arena direct on their 0115 no. They will ask you to phone the 0870 no. for tickets but ignore that, hold the line through all the options and you will be through to the Arena box office itself. They will take your phone booking and only charge £1 extra per ticket not £1.50 if it's the same as last season. Of course you can't do this until the revamping of the box office is complete.

I didn't think a season ticket would have that much advantage this season, but seeing these prices it would add on a bit for postage etc so I'm pleased I got one now. NIC is generally a rip off though. They charge near enough £4 for a small tray of nachos

According to the panthers website, hopefully the box office will be open on tuesday. so i might go and get my tickets then, if not prob buy them on the night. i also think the booking fee price is disgusting, was thinking of buying them online, but after seeing that the as well as the ticket prices had increased, i would have to book my sons ticket separatley from mine which would then mean paying another set of postage charges i thought stuff it. so i`ll just do what i usually do and buy them from the box office and pay by cash or cheque that way they don`t charge anything extra.

Booking fee's have always been a rip off!! I mean £1.50 for a couple of minutes work, it's ok if you can get it!

Incidentally, is the cash machine in the NIC foyer one of those that charges you to withdraw your own cash that you have lent the bank? Another "revenue stream" for the NIC. I wouldn't have thought the NIC were creaming off the profits from the cash machine. Those cash dispensers are put in pubs etc where the companies that run them perceive a gap in the market - namely people who've gone for a night out but forget to draw out cash in advance. It's a case of paying for convenience. No point in complaining about it, if you don't want to pay the charge then get the cash out in advance from a source that doesn't charge.

As for the booking fee.... its hardly ever a sell out.... if it looks that way just make sure you go out of your way when in town (or buy them at the match before)... You are really paying for the convinience of not having to go to town to buy them.
Phone and internet aren't the only way of buying things.
(of course if its not possible to buy them at the box office.... thats a different matter!)

Buy them the match before, that's a laugh. The box office is so slow you have to miss half the 2nd period in the queue, or the last few minutes of the 1st, if you're smart. Even then, if you're not the only smart one, you still get to miss some of period 2.
Hopefully the "improved" box office will eradicate this and then this post will become meaningless

I can say this has happened twice to me. Martin

Being from up the road, in order guarantee my seat at the NIC I have to ring up for my tickets. 1st we can't book over the net because we are away supporters, go figure. 2nd I always book via the NIC box office on the 0115 number. The booking fee isn't £1.50, it isn't even £1 as Dave states here, it's just a mere 50p (thats whatI've always paid). And I always collect my tickets on game day and hey presto, I've got my booking fee down to £1 for 2 tickets. Now I know the box office will be up an running by our first game at the NIC, but I guess it's upto you guys if you risk it for your first game vs Basingstoke, but I don't think you'll have any problems, tbh.
