Wow..no Derby predictions for relegation!! They're still trying to spend money they've not got. Be interesting to see how Gary Mac does for Brum and how Cov do without him.

Forest when £20m in debt: Pay off debts by selling players and eventually are relegated as a result. Derby when £50m in debt: Pay off about £20m or so with a new owner then sign players for millions at a time, completely ignoring the fact that they're still £30m in debt. Wages aren't a factor either.

New Sunderland manager................. Curbs. Maybe! Roy Keane??!! With Brian Kidd as his assistant. Hmm the only slightly worrying thing for Sunderland fans is that Roy Keane often complained about Man Utd's "poor" signings in recent years as well of the lack of commitment to the cause. Where as I agree with Roy Keane that Djemba-Djemba was dire (though it was funny even as a ManYoo fan to see Exeter City run rings around him), and Jose Kleberson, Liam Miller and Roy Carroll were well below the standard of player expected at Old Trafford.... What the hell is he going to say about the team he'll potentially inherit at the Stadium of Light?? Sure, there's no 'prawn sandwich brigade' up there (which means every defeat will be heavily punished and condemned by real football fans) but even the clubs best recent players have jumped ship. Both Julio Arca and Kevin Kyle weren't really anything wonderful, even in the Championship. The Black Cats need something special to make the playoffs this year, and where as a team of Keane and Kidd could achieve short term results, I'm not sure it will be seen as the "world class manager" appointment that Sunderland fans expected. That said, I like Roy Keane. Was excellent at Forest, and a snip at 3.75m for Manchester United in 1993. World Class player. Martin

Quinn was one Keane's biggest critics when he walked out of the World Cup. Amazing that they will now be working together.
Kidd is an excellent assistant and will bring thru some young talent. It's no coincidence that Man U's production line of youngsters dries up after Kidd left.

It's no coincidence that Man U's production line of youngsters dries up after Kidd left. The game has changed since then though you do make a vaild point. the culture these days is more to sign a kid whilst still on youth contract and then nurture them as your own. At least that how some of the big clubs operate. ManYoo do have some promising young players though, although most are out on loan. We have Lee Martin, David Jones, Phil Bardsley, Fraizer Campbell, and if he recovers from injury, Floribert N'Galua. As mentioned, players we've singed young or whilst on youth contracts are Guiseppe Rossi, Gerard Pique, Ben Foster (who's already in the England squad, second season on loan at Watford), and Dong. having seen all but one pre season friendly of ManYoo, I can say that the young players looked good and seen to gel well with first teamers they played alongside including Ole Gunner Solskjaer, Ed Van der Sar, John O'Shea, Darren Fletcher, Paul Scholes, Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs, Ji-Sung Park and Patrice Evra. I noticed that ManYoo havent let so many go out on full season loans this year either, may are due back around Christmas, where we always seen to pick up alot of injuries.

Rossi is a quality player. He played against birmingham last xmas when we played Man Utd twice in a few days. Think he is probably the most promising youngster there.
