I didn't even realise they still existed.
When I went to watch them a few years back it wasn't a very high standard to be honest. Slightly better than rec league but possibly not even upto Lions' standard.

Some of the Elite League players go on in the off season, including Ashley and Warren.

As soon as the season starts you don't see the pro's anymore. They just use the ice time to get a bit fit.

Ah good, so no pros now then. Dan Tessier should come and play for them, must be bored of playing golf all the time.

I didn't even realise they still existed. When I went to watch them a few years back it wasn't a very high standard to be honest. Slightly better than rec league but possibly not even upto Lions' standard. The same Lions team that has developed some of the best British talent for a number of years - including many GB players & players that have previously and still do play for the Panthers... Mind you, in all fairness, it is very difficult to differentiate between the highest & lowest levels of UK hockey nowadays - the only marker is sometimes how much players are getting paid (or paying in the Lions case).

Northstars are Rec hockey... so how can they be slightly better than rec standard?
There are some very good.... and equally very bad rec teams out there but in theory... can all happily play each other.

I just wish we could get a beginner team together for some practice, heard they are building a 3rd pad? and one in mansfield too? could make it more possible.

The mansfield rink is still going ahead as far as i know but there are complications
As for north stars I doubt you will need to contact anyone, turn up on a monday night and speak to one of the lads. If you find a guy called Lee Sowka or Gloss thats prob a good place to start

If not many were down take your kit next week, ask for Glossy or Roman and ask if you can get on. They may so no but theres no point going down again without your kit.
