hi all my names ben and im a big fan of the panthers and i want to start playing ice hockey but i dont no who i need to talk or what i need to do to start can any1 help me out

most rec teams are sheffield way, well worth looking up if you can get there, may be a case of waiting for a spot in some cases though as a lot of rosters are full.
Hope you get into it mate, its the best hing i ever did, really gives you more appreciation and feel for the game.

Why not just go along to the northstars training on monday? Any details on the Northstars? I'd quite like to have a stab at it but pressures of work would probably keep me from travelling to Sheffield.

i cant get up to sheffield thats the only problem as i cant drive due to medical reasons

I've loved every minute of the ice time, despite being a total n00b to the playing side. If you don't already have kit, post in the sales/wants/swaps both on here, on Steeltalk, on the sites of local rec teams. My experience was very good and I found our rec hockey community to be nice approachable people. eBay is good too.

Then again that was a year ago! Suppose if you injure yourself or someone due to an exisiting condition you would have trouble claiming on insurance.... not that its not already like trying to get blood out of a stone.
