wasn't jinman better?? 47pts in 26 games 1.70pts per game Dutes 88 points in 53 games 1.66 points per game The 0.04 points per game difference works out at about an extra point every 20 games! hardly proves anything Tim. The fact is, they had an almost identical points per game ratio, but Dutiaume kept this up for the WHOLE season, whereas Jinman was only here for half of it. Dutes was IMO the best player in the EIHL last season - racked up a load of points, scored against the good and the bad teams, and was MUCH better defensively than other top forwards - I bet Dutiaume had a better +/- rating than Jinman. He was one of the most influenetial players over the last 2 seasons in a side that won plenty if trophies! Dutiaume, Anderson and Christian could make the best line in the league. They are all good, quick skaters and stick handlers, Dutes and Anderson proved they can score loads of goals together, and Christian can create space for them by elbowing opponents all game... If the Steelers are still after an NHLer, IMO they should go for a D-man to strengthen what is already a solid defence, and move Adams to play forward again. Then, if not already, they would IMO be real title contenders...

oh NO they have to go all of 200yards to ice sheffield ;D You miss the point Tim (as usual ) - it's not far to Ice Sheffield but they have to pay for the ice time, that's what hurts Norton. An interesting interview with Norton, well worth the listen for an insight as to what has been going on up in Sheffield. I shouldn't really comment on this, but in interview lasting the best part of 20 minutes, Dave Simms wasn't mention at all..... curious.

It has been confirmed on the Sheffield steelers website today that he has returned on a two year contract (with a third year optional) and will fly over today.
