Thought I'd start this thread as it was getting a bit complicated. For those interested in Uni hockey, you wont need to go through all the mish mash of the other games. The website is www.buiha.org.uk but we are having problems with it at present. However the forum at www.buiha.org.uk/forum is still going strong. A full list of fixtures can be found here. This weekends games: Friday 1 December London 7-5 Southampton (Div1) Friday 1 December Cambridge 22-1 Nottingham (Div2S) - at Peterborough Saturday 2 December Sheffield 22-0 Cambridge (Div1) Saturday 2 December Bradford 0-12 Northumbria (Div2N) Saturday 2 December Sheffield 3-5 Manchester (Div2N) Saturday 2 December Birmingham 10-2 Imperial (Div2S) Sunday 3 December Newcastle 20-4 Cambridge (Div1) Sunday 3 December Nottingham 8-3 Warwick (Div1) Cheers, Rachel Whyatt BUIHA Treasurer 06/07

Sunday 28th Jan finished Sheffield Bears 2 - 4 Oxford Blues. It was a close game all round, with the Blues having the edge and finishing off the game in exciting style with an empty net goal. MOM for Oxford, #31 the goalie (can't remember his name, sorry), for Sheffield #10 Time Cocksworth.
I don't know how to do those funky colours for the words I'm afraid.

Cheers Dicky! I only do the colours as I play for Oxford, you play for Sheffield, and well... it is Nottingham!!!
Use the funky colours on the main reply, not the quick reply, or to modify a post.

was a really good weekend at the champs! congrats to Notts C team for competing with all B teams and not coming last! the team has improved so much this season! B team also played well but a sloppy 1-0 loss to newcaste didn't help matters.

CHAMPIONEEEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oxford Vikings Tier II National Champions 2007!!
Oh what a year it has been!!!! Still not sunk in yet. I wouldn't let my medal go all night. I am feeling so sore this morning.
Who would have thought we would have won. I must admit though, that Nottingham B game was the worst I've played in, EVER. Talk about a bunch of people going out to hit, rather than play hockey.
Roll on next season. Oh, and its the big boys next week in Division 1. Bring it on!!

On a more professional, respectable level, well done to everyone who played. The games were tight, could have gone either way, and even threw up some surprises. To those who were there (as a fan or as a player), thank you all for coming! I hope you enjoyed it.
Thanks Dicky for posting the results!

There is a Warwick panthers B team, but we lack to funding so we just play friendlies against other rec teams. If you wanna game then e-mail me at stek88@lycos.co.uk , but we cant play until the new season cause no one is at uni!
