Me and a couple of friends have been skating now for a fair while, improving skills and feel its time to start hockey. We have never played before and want to start at a beginner level, we have struggled to find anywhere where we could start playing just wondered if anyone can point us in the right direction!?
We are all 21, are there any teams in the Nottingham area that cater for newbies?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Immense wit used there pantherman! seriously though it seems like there is a severe lack of teams willing to take beginners on!
Even considering booking sutton out for an hour and seing if we could get a few other guys down to train with us!

Ashfield Avalance on Sunday nights would be best for you probably.

There is a team training at Sutton on a Tuesday night, they have some beginers and they seem to do some really good drills, etc.
I think they go by the name of 'Sutton Sting' which is the under 16's team name also, but Tuesday is predominantly an adults night. I heard they are down on number at the moment, therefore some of the under 16's train withthem.
Give them a try. I have no contact name or number unfortunatly and the rink staff seem to know nothing about them, but if you wanna go down to the rink and ask the chap running it, you'll find them there after 9:30 or 10:00pm. Can't remember which. lol
Hope this helps some.
