First training I did were my hockey grades so it's kind of different, but when I first joined the Vipers it was really good. I didn't know that many people but everyone was friendly and really welcoming and I felt like I'd been playing for them for years. The actual ice bit was harder than I first expected but I soon got used to it, and I've made some of my best friends there .

what was your skating like when you started, i can go forwards but thats it lol I used to do figure skating so I could go both ways. Don't worry about not being able to go backwards though, some people have recently started with us and aren't very confident skating. Who are you training with?

Like Becky, my first training was my grades, so it wasnt actually proper ice hockey training. It was about 10/11 years ago when i was 7 or 8 so i cant exactly remember much of it ;D

My first session was the first Rink Rush training... It was really weird skating in all that kit but by the end it had got easier. I train on a Thursday night, and have been asked about going to the Shadows on Fridays but it's difficult for me, cos I teach gymnastics, so I'm looking for other ladies teams to join.
