Hello again! Need to make two statements here. First of all: What I meant was that Carroll wanted to give away his start to the other goalie. Think that could be understood but it looked weird when I read it myself Second of all: I apologise for mentioning the word "nice" when talking about Ed Belfour. My mistake. Won't happen again. Promise. After all it's against my nature to call him nice //Glenn again

BJ: What CHL (or WPHL) teams did you get to see and when was it you saw the game(s)? New Mexico Scorpions vs Fort Worth Brahmas ... 02/03 season at the Tingley Coliseum, Albuquerque. $2 for a seat .... fantastic!

Nice one Glenn!!
KC sounds an interesting character - could be just the sort of goalie who'd thrive playing behind a typical Panthers team where defence is optional.
Someone for Paul to bear in mind - goalie choice is going to be crucial this season. How brave will he be when making the choice?

Don't think you would have to worry about Carroll being a goon Shinobi Yeah, but I've seen Ron Hextall play

No! Keep all those players from our roster then, we don't want another descent into goonery thank you You worry me shinobi... for a copper you have an unhealthy dislike to goonery and violence

hey why's everyone talking about Cruicks and this random guy who no-one had ever heard of until 5 minutes ago? Why don't we stick with Sunny? He's an EIHL level keeper(perhaps not a Bronsard but good enough), and he's still very young, if we keep him we could catch him at the peak of his career and reap the benifits, kinda like a brit but more expensive and swedish.
Just A Thought.........

I think Sundberg is much like Pasi Hakkinen was for us in 2001-02, blew hot & cold way too much

but don't you think he's yet to reach his peak? He's young, but I don't see that many players coming over here for, what, 5+ years and doing what Adey, Brebant or Blaisdell did... Lots of roster changes nowadays Sam

Dennis Maxwell and Jason Robinson now confirmed as Racers' player/coaching team. See www.londonracers.com for some particularly fetching photos of them with Roger Black and Ocsar.

The Racers aren't messing around this year Maxwell and Robinson alreadly signed.
It looks pretty certain that the Racers next signing is Kolesar as well.

Just read that Ron Shudra has re-signed for Steelers. How much do you think it will cost to upgrade his zimmer frame to have turbo powered engines? Might even brake the old wage cap Thought last season would be his last but how wrong was i? Maybe he might shut me up with outstanding bursts of speed when he overtakes Ryan Lake, lol, to the goal

It'd be a very good signing I think Tom, and it'd be great if we could get him. Tasker & Johnson not returning to Blaze is a big loss for them, and I'd like to think that both are on our shopping list, although I didn't think too much of Tasker this season gone. One of those players you just love to boo ;D

I have to say, and this is definately NOT a rumour...... Tom, you must win this years prize for the longest link in the forum, BJ, sort him out with an award of some sort! What a whopper!!! Praise the lord it works, cos I wouldn't want to type it! On a lighter note (if there can be), at the last Sheffield away game, Mrs Markus asked the older Steelers fan who sits in the season ticket seats on row A of Block 202 if Ron was called 'Rocket' these days because of his liking for a certain variety of lettuce? Failing to see the point of the joke, the gent went into a lengthy monologue about how he was called 'Rocket' because his shot was so fast - I lost the will to live (but in my graciousness resisted the urge to point out that it now takes 'Rocket' Ron at least half a rink to turn round - Ron Shudra. the Supertanker of the Ice Hockey world!) Is it September yet? ! ? ! ?
