Has to be Mopes for me,
i used to be his biggest critic but he has proved me wrong, he is a good skater, good with the puck, 2 way player, he stands up for his teams mates.
think there isnt many brits out there with all those qualities!
HEYYY Paul Moran !!!!

If we were talking about who we think is the 'best' Brit, it would have to be Clarkie for me.... but if we're talking 'favourite' - then it's Mopes. I've watched him play for the U19 Leopards, the Lions, the Panthers as an apprentice, GB seniors, and now the Panthers as a full-time player. He'd probably be the first to say that he's not the most technically skilled player out there, but he's got a lot of strengths - good vision & awareness, versatility, determination, fitness, physical play.... and he never, ever gives up.

Well, Mike Ellis has a very good rep as regards the development and use of British players.... plus he certainly sounds committed to the idea.
FWIW, I think that all of the British players - up to and including Clarkie - should get a better crack of the whip this season. I'll be honest... I thought Blaisdell may have turned over a new leaf last season, but I turned out to be wrong... one leopard that just doesn't seem to change his spots. Well, Ellis has played alongside most of our Brits on the GB squad, and his rep from Bracknell is good that way. So... here's hoping the home-grown contingent really get the chance to shine this season. I think they will...

Now then... if im not wrong... we have 'lost' Scott and Woj. Without wanting to bring either players talents into question we have only replaced one with Meyers...
Reckon we will be trying to fill another brit slot?

Reckon we will be trying to fill another brit slot? Interesting point.... Dan Scott didn't get regular ice time, and Wojciak got a moderate amount.... but Danny Meyers should be taking regular shifts on defence (and blueliners tend to get more ice time than forwards anyway). It's entirely possible he could exceed the ice time that both of them had, just on his own. Cookie should be making much more of an appearance on the ice, I think - regular 3rd liner? I clean forgot to ask the question on Tuesday - are we going to be using any two-way players from EPL sides? - we've not heard anything on that front, have we? Mike Ellis did make the point that he's been looking at training with some of the Nottingham U19s... how much of that will translate to actual game time is anybody's guess - depends how they shape up, no doubt. And we know that James Neil will be back.... we'll have to wait and see how much he'll be used.

Maybe ME is going for a 'less Brits in number but use what we've got, more' approach.
Have less lads getting a square arse and actually get them on the ice.

Did Daniel Scott sign for Romford before Ellis came in? If not I wouldve thought Daniel would've been a nice project for ME as he seems to fit the style of player he goes for. He's a big lad who with some careful mentoring could turn into a good physical checking forward or D-Man.......... Or shall I get my coat?
