Hmm, forgot about Savai! How could I!!
OLd moor lodge, not my kinda place, sooner have a restaurant that has it's own menu - as OML is a brewers fayre, we find that most of their food is microwaved - not great!

Pizzeria Savai is below the area (as in down the road)
It is below Topknot salon, if you go down the road from either side of the arena you would arrive at Savai!
Most wonderful Pesto garlic bread I have ever ever tasted and the pizza's are great, my fave is Chicken bacon brie and mushroom! Mmmmmm

Not been to many Nottingham restaurants, but I do like TGI Fridays(ultimate burger with loads of Jalapenos!) and also Hard Rock Cafe(love looking at all the memorabilia) Thought that Frankie and Benny's was a poor imitation of TGI`s aswell

La Vecchia Romagna is great for traditional Italian food. They do good pizza, but they are best for other stuff like pasta etc. & great deserts.
Memsaab and 4550 Miles From Delhi do good but expensive curry, though the service wasn't very good when I went to 4550 Miles From Delhi and I've heard similar from others. Also good and less costly are Mogal E Azam, Chand Tandori Restaurant, and Anilas Indian Restaurant.
Red Hot in Hockley does fairly good Italian, Chinese, Taiwanese(?) and Indian food, but it's an eat all you want buffet which in my book gives it HUGE bonus points. Big selection of eat all you want puddings too.

A few questions:
Pizzaria Savai - does it do Italian food other than pizza? How does it compare to La Vacchia Romagna? How pricey is it?
Mexican restaurants - since the sad day when Margaritas on Derby road closed, I'm yet to find a good Mexican restaurant in Nottingham. Anyone know of any?

I've only been to Pizzaria Savai for my teams presentations which are all you can eat buffets. They had both pizza and pasta out so i presume they must do pasta dishes in the main restaurant.

An excellent Indian restaurant no-one seems to have mentioned is City Spice...delicious food, and the waiters are lovely!! Don't let this put you of,f but it isn't often too busy...its nice and relaxing.
Not sure of the street name but its in Hockley, opposite New Look on that street that connects Clumber Street with Goosegate.
