Naturally a court can get it wrong. But we have to assume it gets it right or we have no system at all. He had top notch lawyers defending him but then he had them prosecuting him too. His money and fame may have saved him. Or maybe it just put him on trial to begin with by rooting out the golddiggers. And a DA who allegedly wanted to make his name on the back of convicting a 'star'.
I guess we'll never know. The court said he's done nothing wrong and so that's all I can go by.

Thing is, it was his fame that probably got him in court in the first place as many have said the case was so weak that it would never have been brought against someone less high profile. The prosecution evidence was just dodgy. You've got a collection of Scooby Doo style villains as your witnesses with dollar signs in their eyes, a victim and family about as sympathetic as Myra Hindley and the only 'material' evidence being TV documentary footage. I'm not a fan of Jackson's music particularly, but I think he's only guilty of being highly inappropriate and naive. You can't point at him sharing a bed and say 'Hey that looks a bit dodgy, doesn't it ? He must be a child abuser', when you're dealing with someone who simply does not recognise what every other adult in the country would deem as inappropriate behaviour with children. The man built a fairground in his backyard and has chimps for pets. If you thought like a child and had millions of dollars in your pocket, what would you buy ? I'm not actually inclined to believe he's ever had sex in his life to be honest, despite the kids. The way child abuse trials and sometimes rape trials work is one person comes forward and brings a case, THEN a load of other people come out of the woodwork and go 'Actually, yeah he did it to me too'. This hasn't really convincingly happened in this case and I don't think that's because all these people are being paid off or kidnapped in hot air balloons ( ). Incidentally, the mother is now being investigated/prosecuted as she apparently admitted during the trial to swindling $20,000 in social security benefits according to a report in The Sun. Nice family. I think the prosecution lost the moment they put her on the stand.

In the Sun newspaper?...wow...MUST be true then!. I hope that's not where you get your evidence from!

Sorry just though I`d say my thoughts he has been found not guilty, that doesnt mean he is innocent. the eyes of the world are on him now But he should treated as being innocent. If not then you can't treat people in prison as being guilty. And you certainly can't have a death penalty.

Agreed. However, what I found totally ridiculous, was the 1000's of MJ fans camped outside the courthouse, & his neverland ranch. All were showing 'blind loyalty' to him, screaming he's innocent at every camera. I am all for people being fans etc, & showing support, but that was bonkers beyond belief. To them he was innocent purely on the fact he is MJ, no need for a trial at all then!

I don't think any of us need a court of law to make our own minds up - as we pretty much have done anyway. Me? I wouldn't let Jackson near any kids whatsoever and I don't think there's a single person on here who wouldn't think twice about it. Why? Because yes if you repeat something often enough - even a lie - then people do start believing it. And there is evidence that makes Jackson look dodgy without question anyway. Has no one ever read George Orwell's 1984? We tend to believe what we get told. Simple as.

It's like when a mob goes to the courthouse to boo and scream at someone who is accused of a front-page crime. They are normally women and they often take their kids. Why can't people just let a court do its job?

If I had children, I too wouldn't let Michael Jackson look after them. Why? Because I don't know the guy, and I seriously doubt anyone on this board does either. I wouldn't let any adult look after my kids if I didn't know them
