Great news he is getting better, but i too would love McKenna to stay! Hmmm....whats gonna happen?
I was looking forward to see Krulis perform, but haven't been that blown away by him regardless of his size.....McKenna definately is one worth keeping hold of!

Great news. I also want McKenna to stay as well. I think we should stick 'Big Mac' in defense and get rid of Jan Krulis. He's too slow and makes too many mistakes IMO.

well some how i cant see tvrdon going. why wait till he's recovered and put alot of time into getting him sorted then saying 'on yer bike son' it's hard to say who to get rid of, see as just about all the team are playing well together now and to get rid of any may mess things up. there has been alot of rumours about players not getting on, maybe one of the players that doesnt seem to be fitting in might get the boot

Excellent news! ;D ;D ;D With the team finally playing together as a team I think it's important to keep McKenna too. To have both Tvrdon and McKenna we have to ship somebody else home. Sad, but a fact. Glad I ain't picked a player for the back of my shirt yet

get rid of Jan Krulis. He's too slow and makes too many mistakes IMO. Don`t know how you can say that when he`s on equal points with Calle and more than Ricci and Magdoska.

you can say that by looking at him as a defencman,
it looks like he's a wannabe forward, but it too slow to get back somtimes

No, ship out Roman before anyone else goes If necessary I agree..we're doing fine without him so don't alter a winning team Because Ivan can be a bit temperamental I trust that nothing daft will be done like shipping him out and keeping Tvrdon. That would be tragic!

Conspiracy thought: If the club isn't appealing against Ivan's ridiculous ban from Boniface then could there be an underlying message in there? I doubt it... after all, it was a Game penalty, not a Match penalty - so doesn't affect the next game at all. True, it might contribute to whatever totting-up system that the EIHL may or may not be using (does anyone know?) - but maybe the Panthers decided it wasn't worth the time, hassle and probably money to appeal the decision.

When we signed Tvrdon I found a website with a coaching/scouting report that said "hopefully his shoulder problem won't stay with him for the whole of his career". At the minute we're doing OK without him, but how many of the imports who are "under threat" are performing better because they don't want to be the one who's cut? I worry that they may not put in as much effort if they know they're safe.

I reckon that after our success so far the players will continue to keep on putting in the effort knowing they are getting the right results and doing very well. To no longer be under threat they have to keep bringing in the results and giving it their best....they will continue to be under threat if they don't put the effort in, and i'm sure they are more than aware of that!

I don't know with Tvrdon...He's a defensive forward, but was hyped as being the next big thing...
He hasn't impressed me to be honest, but I'm inclined to think that I'd prefer to have a defensive forward on the team, rather than additional scorers...
Ahlroos' 8 game goalless funk is starting to be a drag & I assume it can't be doing anything for his confidence...

It may be coincidence but the current upturn in form seems to have started shortly after the arrival of Mr McKenna.
Scott Ricci made an interesting point in his radio interview the other day. He said Steve' greatest contribution to the team so far had been in the locker room - because of his presence and character he'd taken the pressure off the rest of the squad and put some fun back into hockey.
I can well believe that - hard to imagine not being carried along by Steves' down to earth enthusiasm, the sort of character who leads by example without making an issue of it and instills confidence into the players around him.
Just leaves me wondering what will happen if he moves on....

Well if the Panthers management let this guy leave, then they should resign.. "Let"?? How could they stop him? Hell - would YOU want to try to get him to stay somewhere he didn't want to be? ;D FWIW, I'm sure that the Panthers management will do/are doing everything in their power to encourage him to stay....... they'd be fools not to (and despite the jaundiced viewpoints of some, I don't think they are fools......)

Ahlroos' 8 game goalless funk is starting to be a drag & I assume it can't be doing anything for his confidence... Probably not - but it wouldn't be the first time, would it? IIRC he had a goalless streak at one point last season - and still ended up being our third (?) highest goalscorer overall.... not to mention netting a silverware-winner. He'll be back on the scoresheet soon enough.......

And that's why I have resisted the urge to call for Kimmy to be axed as he's a very good player & a very good goal scorer, and yes he'll be back on the score sheet...
