Somebody has mentioned that an idiot threw a bottle of some sorts at Clouthier as he left the ice last night. Did not see anything myself as I was watching everything else . Anybody shed any light on the matter. The mention came from someone who is not prone to mischief or the like. Tambo Yeah I saw that. Oh well.

Tambo I was in Block 8, and did see something go past him as he went to the tunnel, but didn't see where it came from.

Solid if unspectacular last night. Rasto, Pelletier and Leivers were standouts for me while Shmyr was immense on the penalty kill. Mangos impressed me for Phoenix, exellent throughout.

First time i have seen the team play this season, the players have seemed to gel well and seem to have an understanding with each other.
Rasto had a great game, from what i heard about Wednesdays game i was a little worried if he had lost his magic over the summer.
I think that running with 5 Dmen is going to work well throughout the season, with all of them putting in solid performances, Ryans shot blocking in the 2nd period was fantastic.
Pele looks a good signing, throwing some great checks and not one to stand back when the going gets tough.
The forward lines again, worked well, McAslan, PC and Richardson worked well, putting some nice moves together, and seemed to be working well on the boards and behind the net. Molin didnt seem to shine, but given time im sure that he will begin to put up the numbers. Shepherd had a good game, fighting on the boards and was giving 100% throughout.
Great PP and PK units, managing to shut them down and obviously scoring on 2 of out PP's
Overall Happy with the game, lets build on the performance and keep up the good work

Tambo No offence to anyone who sits around the area but it's nearly always near the away teams bench. Anyway moving on. Great game last night. Second period was an absolute farce with the ref. penalty after penalty after penalty, so frustrating but defended really well. we look well going forward and coming back. Great game lads lets keep it up for the rest of the season.

Don't want to buck the trend here, but I thought Neilson had an excellent game tonight. Pelletier continues to impress. He had a pretty poor first period, giving the puck away loads but he improved towards the end. A good assist on the second. Decent effort. By the way, kudos to Shmyr, he had a blinder.

I did actually see something fly towards Cloots (From my view in block 5). No one else around me mentioned it, so I kind of forgot about it. Fair play to Cloots, he ignored it. I just hope who ever threw the object is caught, & punished.
back on topic.

Disgraces us all... no, I'm not accepting and responsibility or disgrace for some other idiots actions!! Excellent Panthers performance last night. Couldn't name a player who had a particularly poor game (and why would I, i'd rather keep it positive.) But some players who had good performances were Pele, Wallenberg, Lever and Meyers. And a couple who were just immense for me where Shmyr (especially on the PK) and Neilson, who appears to have taken up where he left off after the playoffs! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Oh, and Richardson is going to get a minimal amount of credit for the work he does. He looks like a fine signing.

Shaggy, did you not see the check that one of the Manchester players did to one of our guys the shift before the fight, you know, the one that totally laid him out. Shmyr went after the guy and Cloots went to climb over the bench but then stopped and they were both staring and nodded Shmyr's way of evening up a bad hit i like your posts but i cant understand your problem with something that got both sets of fans on there feet cheering and probably meant alot more people left the game with a buzz This is exactly the reason they fought. It certainly wasn't pointless and rounded off a good evening's entertainment. I saw some people going after that hit and said to my mate that it was a daft time to go as it was blatantly about to kick off.

A very enjoyable, fast, free flowing game that was well refereed. I thought Phoenix played a good game and certainly made us work for our goals yet they looked dangerous on the break or when they sustained pressure in our zone. Our D is playing better than I'd expected - Shymr had a fine game in defence - he's probably our most disciplined defenceman! Good to see the likes of Shymr, Pelletier, Levers etc blocking shots - shows a real commitment. Some interesting lines put out by Mike Ellis on the special teams - shows he has confidence in his forwards when it comes to team defence! I'm liking the way the special teams are shaping up. A good all round team performance again. Wallenberg was immense again - I thought he played well on Wednesday as well. Rasto had a fine game - back to making saves he'd got no right to and deservedly got MoM. Shymr must have been a candidate though - he had a fine game and is so versatile - solid playing D, a good penalty killer yet gets shifts as a forward on the power play. There were possibly a few clues as to why Pelletier hasn't played in a higher league tonight. One horrible turnover with a cross ice pass coming out of defence that should have been punished, though he's quick to put right his mistakes for the most part. Steve showed great team spirit wading in to protect Rasto but we already had Neilson in the box and Steve's penalty left us killing a 5 on 3 with 2 Dmen in the box - I suspect a lot of coaches wouldn't be happy about that. I like the lad though and the way he plays the game - he had a good game again lastnight and I think he'll do a good job in this league, especially as we do seem to have discovered team defence this season. The face off situation is curious. We don't seem to win many clean but often end up with possession as a result of the pressure the team applies to the opposition during the face off play. We've no out and out specialist face off winner but it's not hurting us a deal so far. Myers has been our best face off man the past couple of season yet we seem to be doing ok without using him much. A good team performance overall, a win and entertaining to watch as well. Can't ask for much more than that. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Played well, however i am slightly concerned about our 2nd line. Molin and Wally were very quiet - not sure about Shep. But our 1st line seems a lot stronger
Only a couple of games in i know - but i am still a tad concerned.

I know how the italians feel now. I recently lost a tenner watching that shower of ****.
Poor. very poor. We won 2-0... woop de frigging do. win by 10, win by 2 its all the same but play like that against shuff, cardiff, belfast or cov and we'd have been the wrong end of a very bad scoreline.
Pheonix were poor. The game was a snoozefest. Only livened up in the last minute. And couldnt even drink to cheer myself up

More solid than spectacular maybe, but "snoozefest" seems a bit much.
