Nottingham Panthers have appointed Linton Grant as the club's new Assistant Coach.
The 27-year-old, who was born in Birmingham, has spent the past decade working in North America.
He played for Solihull Barons as a junior before moving with his family to Canada as a teenager.
Grant spent five years working in Mount Royal University in Canada in the CIS and USports leagues, before moving to work in the NCAA with the University of Michigan.
Last season, Grant was Assistant Coach with Okotoks Oilers in the Alberta Junior Hockey League.
Head Coach, Danny Stewart, said: "After several discussions with Linton, it was clear he had the work ethic and fresh approach that we were looking for.
"He’s worked under some great coaches and the references were top-notch. He grew up in the UK and that will help him transition into the role.
"It was vital to get someone in full-time that can help drive the team forward."
Grant said: "One thing that stands out for me is the history of the team in Nottingham, that was a huge pull for me.
"After having conversations with Danny (Stewart) and Omar (Pacha), the visions they have in place for the team moving forward really inspired me.
"There's a good core of players and good staff as well and I think we can do some special things here."
