From what they've signed so far looks like the Flames should have some scoring depth this year. Definitely a franchise looking too climb and stay in the top half of the table They've certainly gone a different route to prior years. The Welychka signing is the pick, I'd say, getting Tedesco back will give them 2/3 of a first line, and Dodero looks the goods, but I'm not sure I see the depth to be a contender? (He says, thus ensuring Flames challenge for the title...)

(He says, thus ensuring Flames challenge for the title...) Like you say Welychka and Tedesco should be good for PPG numbers at least. Last season EIHL numbers: Ferguson - 41pts Hook - 46pts Tait - 46pts And I'd expect Alvaro to get more (38pts) his second season with them. They've retained 4 of their top 5 five scorers and added, like you say, 2 of 3 on a potential new top line. So they've improved on their scoring from last season which was good enough for 5th and a playoff semi final. If they bring back Crinella that's all 5 of their top scorers and added 2 to the top line. So they've added on top of last year's top line. I'd say that's an increased scoring depth personally

Yeah I spotted that one. My guess was a rebuild year after a year out from the sport? Don't know if he was injured or what it was but still a surprisingly good move for Bristol you'd have thought.

We've made some huge steps forward in our roster, but Cardiff have just gone over the top. I think we may now need 1 more clear top line winger. Hopefully still got to the round the D off with some quality and we need to finally get the netminding position sorted after years of searching.

Impressive quartet. Be happy with any of them. On the face of it, yes, but there are some signs of why they may be EIHL ready, for 2 of them at least. Low GP numbers, team worst +/-. Devils have a habit of taking injury prone players and getting good seasons out of them though. They are impressive signings, nevertheless.

I can see Hunter Shinkaruk being lethal in the EIHL, summary on EP pretty much gives the indication he’ll fit in very well in the EIHL style of play. Then again, could be wrong…I thought Josh Shalla would be a MVP over here!

So pleased with this squad, if they hit it off we will be very difficult to beat. Going to be a great season.

I think Reid Duke might be the one to watch, same points tally as Sam Herr in the DEL2 last season and similar AHL numbers as well, slightly better PPG but 40 fewer games played. He's a good age too. It really looks like being a strong league this season, exciting times.

Shinkaruk - Duke - O’Brien MacDonald - Martin - Olischefski Mosey - Perlini - Barrow Brandt - Busch - Davies Duggan
MacWilliam - Richardson Fournier - Donaghey Gourley - Batch
Just a theoretical line up for Devils but they look stacked. Anyone who thinks we can just put lower level bodies on the bottom 6 needs a rethink. We can’t fill it up with the likes of Welsh, Anderson and Pare and think that will be good enough. What Panthers have done so far is impressive but it needs hammering home with the remaining imports if we want to mix it with Devils, Giants and Steelers

Also interesting that Devils have already completed their roster whereas Steelers have yet to announce a single new import yet

Gourley their youngest player, just turned 25. 12 of 21 signed 30 or over. Panthers only have one over 30 so far, and that's Herr. Probably means nothing, but worth a look. Batch, Davies, Bowns, Davies, Mosey, Perlini and Richardson are well into their 30s.
