A shame really, we were very flat for 2 periods and the Devils were notably more physical/ played the body. They pounced when there was a bobbling puck in our D zone and made it hard for us to break out. Clearly had a rocket after last time they played us. Thought we’d done really well to get back into the game, and then the power break absolutely snapped the momentum! I get it’s a money earner in terms of sponsorship, but it is a real gripe of mine. Saps momentum, gives teams effectively 3 time outs, and we were flying when the third one came about. A shame we couldn’t play the body for their winning goal, which was individual skill so fair play, but being a bit more physical could’ve saved us. Not to be. I’m confident that we can go and win in Guildford tonight, hopefully we play fast and physical, and big Felix ruffles some feathers 😂 I completely agree with this. The team were buzzing and Cardiff were struggling. Then they get a free time out with the stupid break. I don't like these breaks to start with but if they must have them then they need to time them better. There is obviously some flexibility with when they take them as they can be anywhere between 12ish minutes and 8ish minutes. Last night they could of took it later and given Panthers a few more minutes with the momentum.

I thought Pare had one of his best games for us last night. It will be nice to see what he can do with settled line mates. Anderson hasn't been anywhere near as good as he was in the later half of last season. Most of all though, we really missed Michaud last night.

I think the power break is taken in the first whistle that isn’t a goal after 8 minutes?

Then it needs ditching Bob. Especially if we are now the only team still doing it.
Makes a mockery of a so called professional sport if there are different rules applied in different games.

Thought he was the worst of a bad bunch last year and had a little run towards the end of the season. Wasn’t happy when he was re-signed and hasn’t done anything since. No import forward for an arena (or any team really) should produce such low scoring numbers

Poor 1st period, slightly better 2nd without producing much of a goal threat. Great comeback in the third, had all the momentum and apparently the stupid powerbreak killed it. I didn't notice but I bow to those who did. Credit Cardiff, they forechecked hard and defended well, gave us very little time to set up in their zone. The game was proof, if proof were needed that a team cannot afford two lacklustre periods and expect to win a match that often. A single goal in either the 1st or 2nd could have made all the difference.

Powerbreaks didn’t work for us last night, but on another occasion they could be a breather if we’re under the cosh.
Final game is only a month away - 7 April. Where did the season go?
Despite the obvious, I’ve really enjoyed it. Looking forward to renewing for next season- albeit will be moving seat again. Haven’t yet found “our” seats - had 2 this season. I suppose good seats were only free due to the idiots next to them.

Due to work, I can’t commit to a season ticket & there’s only two more games that I’ll be able to attend this season. It’s gone remarkably quickly.
