Rok was incredible!
Lovely little run of home wins, so enjoyable going to the games at the moment!

Incredible result, nobody saw that coming, if you told me the score would be 5-1, I'd think it will be to Belfast.
We took our goals well, killed off numerous Power Plays and Rok was awesome.
The Officials were terrible especially in the 2nd Period but the crowd let them have it when they skated on for the 3rd Period and they weren't going to call anything on The Panthers. The fact that we celebrated having a Power Play called in our favour resulted in a cheer like we had just scored says it all really.
Nice bit of home form at the minute, not sure if the crowd being loud is starting to affect the opposition, then long may it continue.
Oh yeah, we didn't catch Belfast on a bad day, they had 44 shots, numerous Power Plays, including a 4 minute one and had considerable position in our zone.
I bet some of our rivals were disappointed as they would have expected a Belfast win

Perhaps not as expected, but as you were then. 4 points back with 2 in hand. It's just become harder to chase down 7th.

Other than the boarding in Tetlow every penalty against us during that 2nd period we were bang to rights. It did certainly galvanise the crowd though and that atmosphere will have no doubt helped the extended penalty killing efforts.

The guy was the puck carrier. Rule 625 | Interference (Note) Interference is defined as when a player uses their body (“pick” or “block”) to impede the progress of an opponent (non-puck carrier) with no effort to play the puck, maintain normal foot speed or maintain an established skating lane.

Without doubt. Clearly views are different but it was in front of me and as far as I was concerned the replay on the big screen confirmed it. Anyway. It didnt cost us the game so no point getting to upset about it. 👊

The multiple angles available I watched during the interval made it a bit of a bad look for Mike. As you say it didn’t cost us and it certainly galvanised the crowd as I felt the atmosphere had waned a little during the 2nd period and everyone got behind them.

Just a brilliant performance.
Some lovely goals,Roy's goal was an absolute rocket and after being dominated by Giants for the first few minutes completely changed the game.
Clinical finishing, energy and lovely passing earned us that win.
Loved the forecheck from Otto to set up Logan.
The refs calls certainly got the crowd into it who had been quiet until that point, great noise thereafter.
Great evening

Interference calls are my biggest bugbear, or should I say no calls. It happens dozens of time a game to the letter of the law without being called. Then they just pull a call out when they feel like it.

Stunning performance, 3 well taken goals in the first because I felt Belfast were the better team at times during the period. Thought that giants would come out more physical in the second but we matched it and stood up to it, despite the calls that were questionable. So kudos to the team for bouncing back after the previous game.
And no doubt it’ll be quiet here for a while.

Amazing result and night and day different to last night. Playing well defensively takes a huge load of pressure off a team

Was shocked, wasn’t expecting that. So many of them stood up and performed, Roy is a great hockey player, the first goal was a bullet. Really liked Lemay, Lunsjö, Neilson, Luciani, Kelsall and Anderson. Caruso and McGurty frustrate the living daylights out of me. Tetlow did good considering how long he’s been out.
Some of those calls by the officials were awful.
Keep playing like that please.

This team is honestly crazy. We rode our luck a little bit at times tonight, and as Keefe said in his post game interview, we did survive a few grade A chances from Belfast, but you take that luck, especially when we suffered some bad luck from the officials tonight imo.
Roy is a superb hockey player, defensively responsible, lightning in transition with a shot to match and he’s as strong as an ox in the board battles. Also, to have two players scoring at a rate of a goal every other game is pivotal. If we can address our defensive issues for the remainder of the season then we could be ok.
Pleased to see Tetlow play so well to in his 1st home game back, he is a decent shutdown dman in our league and we’ve dearly missed his size and reach in this team.
Crazy weekend, up the Black and Gold

Good game, some great goals and excellent penalty killing. Dealt well with Giants theatrics and some questionable reffing. Lake is a pathetic specimen. Constantly looking to dive or simulate.

I sit in block 10 and I thought all the calls were correct apart from the Tetlow one as well. It seems like some people don’t understand the drawing blood penalty on high sticks though. Always a 2+2 penalty, even if they do bite their lip to make it bleed, like the giants player did.

A great game tonight. They sure are good to watch at home at the moment. Very hard working with some good scoring lines as well at the moment. Add Pare to the mix, someone who will not take crap from opposing players and you have a very entertaining team. That gets the crowd gets behind. Yes the refs were lousy. Especially the Tetlow call but I also thought the Carruso call was bad as well. The Belfast player was constantly jumping forward before the puck was dropped. Which is what irritated Caruso as he did it at that faceoff. Think the number 24 ref gave us the powerplay with the tripping call in the third to even up for the bad call he made on Tetlow.

Really like Pare. Not just for having a fight tonight, but in general love the dimension he’s brought to the team. Felt like he wasn’t used as effectively against Cardiff - but tonight, first shift alone he tried/ lined up four hits, and played with that intensity throughout. Love what he’s brought to the team in that regard.
Thought Despres oozed class tonight, Roy is a Joey Martin type player in terms of potential stature hopefully for a long time to come. Thoroughly enjoyable evening and nice to beat them as they’ve hammered us in our own rink since covid as far as I can remember!
Some of the refereeing was abominable - and a real gripe of mine is the play acting that immediately gets a team a power play, Ben Davies the other night, Phillips tonight, plus Lake losing an edge and it being called.
Staying on the positives though, Rok was exactly that, delighted for him, and the players really grafted. Such a likeable group. Hopefully Welsh/ Betteridge can be back soon so we can play with that intensity effort for four full lines!

Wasn’t there tonight so pleased with everyone’s accounts of the game. I think it puts some calming perspective on the loss last night too, we’ve not lost ground over Glasgow after the weekend, and although ideally we would have made up some ground by beating them as well, it could have been worse.
1 point behind Fife, 4 games in hand 4 points behind Glasgow, 2 games in hand 7 points behind Dundee and Manchester, 2 games in hand
I don’t think our chances are over, it will require consistent good form and we’re bound to lose occasionally, but if we can come back instantly like we have from the shocker score lines lately, then we stand every chance. This team has it in them.
