No idea why it didn’t work out for him here at Nottingham. It’d no doubt have been the case if the Panthers had signed Auston Matthews.

Thought was a nice statement on the OS, can't have been easy arriving under those circumstances.

It didn't work out for him here, for whatever reason, and I'm sure he feels that at least as much as the fans do. He's clearly a hockey player of not inconisderable quality.

Farley guaranteed to score tonight ... He ain't a bad player You didn’t say that a few days ago 🤔 Pretty much the way I was coming on to sum up the game. I sat there at 2-2 saying to myselft how it was such a good game, then bang. Lights out and we were done. The second half was one of the worst performances i've seen. When Rok is good he's bloody brillaint. Whem he isn't he's aweful. Sadly another that fails to hold the tag of championship winning stamdard. Farley is a complete was of space. Pare, im affraid looks it too(I will absoloutly give him more time). Not enough to make a pysical impact and if he cant bring that i'm not sure what else he brings. You wont win many games against teams like Giants with 2 4th lines(at best) and no 1st line. What is the point in bringing anyone else in.. like really? Out of the late additions only Depres looks half decent

But that's not how you framed it originally, is it? He was a decent player (still is, I strongly suspect) who it didn't work out for in Nottingham. You just post the first thing that comes into your head most of the time, given the facts at the time. The prevailing wisdom, bandwagon jumping, most chance of being "right" stuff. The above is the perfect example. (When not getting any points with Panthers) He's rubbish. (Scores on debut for another team) He's a good player. It's OK to admit you were wrong, you know? Frankly, Despres impresses me less and less lately. Benched on Saturday, 15 minutes TOI last night, only just more than Hazeldine. At this rate, Tetlow will keep him even more on the bench when he returns, I expect.

You can see the skill set that got him to the top but he’s just too slow. Pretty much all those penalties came from him being caught out or having his pocket picked by someone who was just too quick for him. It’s a weakness that is frequently getting exposed.

Seriously high end skills (he "dummied" a Steeler on Saturday, intercepting a puck, and left him in the middle of last week, a superb bit of skill, and he clearly sees the ice really well) but the speed (or lack of it) is costing him just now. I thought he may get a bit quicker as he got fitter (having not played this year until joining us) but he doesn't seem to have done.

Undoubtedly has the ability to be head and shoulders the best Dman in the league but I must admit he hasn't got himself in better shape or up to speed as quickly as expected.
