It's still happening, comes from the top... always has he's just replaced GM with finance Freddie. Pacha may be the front face but the strings are being pulled by you know who. And from NB's view, why wouldn't he. Takes his dosh and people keep turning up. Shame we haven't heard from NB in a while You’ve nailed it there. 👍

Yes topics should be contained to their own threads ideally, but that’s just not really viable. It’s a forum and just like with other social media things veer off course at all sorts of tangents. We are all guilty of it and not just on here and nobody is stopping anybody else from contributing to the topic. If they want to post then fine,if they don’t then just ignore it.

I never doubted it…ever. I’m surprised to hear Pacha is actually still there, not seen or even heard from him in err….months ! Can’t say I blame him. We haven’t been since Christmas either

Tough situation. What do you want Pacha to say?
Long line of losses. JP not doing any media. Had a few injuries and suspensions, but nothing to suggest results will get any better with a full roster to choose from.
In ordinary times, perhaps there would be a change of personnel. This season there would be an outcry if anyone was let go.
No option but to see the season out now, even if that means finishing down there with Fife in a battle for the wooden spoon.
I don’t see really what can be said or done this season. It’s a write off.

The season isn’t a complete write off yet and neither should it be,I’d guess that’s not the attitude Adam Johnson would have wanted. Pacha and Black should have been standing up and saying we are going to fight to get through and we’re going to do everything possible in our power to make it happen and back it up with some action. In times of adversity good strong leaders stand up to be counted and they lead by example, they don’t hide away whilst their troops and supporters struggle !

With respect, iggy, the leaders need to lead in private, not necessarily in public. It looks to me like they are, given the effort we're seeing. What's happened to this team is a tragedy, literally. I'm prepared to cut them some slack if they need it.

Fans: How? NB: erm…. Release players? Release coach? There’s a full roster now, and when Ollie and Tetlow return, we are perhaps overstaffed. I’d rather they say nothing than insult our intelligence with nonsense statements.

Cos you don’t see them? Where are the pair of them,I’m sure they’re behind the scenes but publicly we’ve seen Pacha about once if that since the tragedy and I don’t think we’ve seen Black all season. And that’s pretty much a near repeat of last season so what was last years excuse ? Do you really think Adam Johnson would want the club to just give up on the rest of the season because I’ll bet he wouldn’t. It’s a good job Kevin Moore stuck his hand up and to an extent Strach’s too because the boss guys are both missing in action !

Black should have responded weeks ago,but he didn’t and instead left his injury hit team struggling and under strength. They could still sign further imports even now,or even take a leaf out of other teams book and actually use IR which for some strange reason Panthers very rarely seem to do….why not ? Just smacks of a club that isn’t really bothered about doing it’s best and certainly hasn’t got a winning ethos. It never will have either with their current attitude.

It’s a difficult situation because while I agree fans should be empathetic of what this team has gone through and lenient when it comes to criticism, this team chose to resume this season and in some respects that means the resumption of the clubs expectations for this season and I think Anderson’s interview recently shows that this team is trying to treat this season as normally as possible

There’s still plenty to play for and, as Iginla says, we should all, from the ownership to the fans, do as much as we can to support and back the team in honour of Adam.
We aren’t privy to what goes in behind the scenes so we can’t comment on NB and OP’s involvement and leadership in house but I’m sure they’ve backed and supported these players to the hilt. Again, we don’t know the efforts and actions that they have already undertaken but I do feel that further additions for rotation would help to give players a rest and go towards helping results improve.
I certainly feel it would do some good if NB or OP were to address the fans, publicly talk about their appreciation of the team’s efforts and the fan’s support lately. A rallying cry for the fanbase in one of the most difficult times in our history.

Taking this season out of the equation and the tragic circumstances which will sadly always define it, the cold hard facts are that we have played below .500 since hockey returned from the Covid pandemic. Our goal differential in last two seasons was -70.
For a club of this size, with the facilities that are available and levels of attendance, that's nowhere near acceptable.
That's why threads keep being 'hijacked' and ending up on the same topics, because we haven't challenged for the league title in over a decade. We haven't won a trophy since 2016, 'EIHL Series' not included.

Exactly.. if this club was competitive every season then there wouldn't be any 'hijacked' threads but people just bury their heads in the sand and carry on completely oblivious to it. All I hear is how unlucky we are every game.. no team carries this much bad luck. I remember some famous coach/player once said the harder you work the luckier you get!

In completed seasons since we won the league we have finished an average of 22.5 points behind the title winners, only once have we been within ten points. Braehead, Guildford and Manchester Storm have finished 2nd more recently than the Panthers have. Only twice since winning the league have we had a player in the top ten in scoring. Herr in 19-20 and Kolnik in 15-16. That's very unlucky.

On the plus side, we can all save money on play off finals weekend.
No point if we don’t make it

Two of my wife’s friends have been introduced to hockey this season & they now attend regularly. Both women have two children. We are all disposable & easily replaced.
