One thing that jumps out is that they say he is very strong on face offs which is hopefully true

Good size, something that has been lacking. On the face of it, the type of signing many wanted. And apparently, he can win face offs too. You'd expect he'll be playing more of a role here than in Wheeling.

Dont think he looks the Colt King, top 6 type power forward we really need to take us to another level, but i've said a few times i'd tather us sign a cheaper version of a round peg for a round hole than a 10th square peg for the round hole. Not a big, big unit, not a big point scorer but think he'll bring some of what we need. If he can add some face off wins then that a huge plus.

It doesn't matter who is signed really though does it Id argue it does. We may not be winning the league this year but there are a number of reasons we still need to do our best through the rest of the season. I think the better it goes on the ice the better the players will feel. We should still be aiming to finish as high up the league table as possible and perhaps even have a shot at the playoffs. The better we end the season the more solid a foundation we have to build off for next year. Whilst I expect some players will be on the first plane out of here, there is a chance that if they feel they've achieved something together this year then they may be inclined to have another go next. Painfully limping to the end of the season winning the odd game will be more painful for all.

What would they do without the fans telling them what’s needed. 😆

Most importantly, will we sing Big Felix Paré to the tune of Raspberry Beret by Prince?

From the Wheeling Nailers' press release announcing Paré's re-signing for 2023-24: "Félix's contributions to the team go well beyond the scoresheet, as he has proven a willingness to drop the gloves, and has been one of the team's best when it comes to winning face-offs ... Félix plays hard and brings a physical element to our team," said Nailers Head Coach Derek Army. "He is a top center in the face-off circle, and that is a huge part of us starting with puck possession. There's a noticeable difference when he is in the lineup and in the locker room." wheelingnailers.com/news/2023/08/nailers-re-sign-felix-pare

Frankly I'm surprised we survived as a species let alone a hockey club 😂

Especially in the face offs

Looks to be just the signing we needed. Brings some size and physicality, which we are lacking in our forwards. If he is good at face-offs then that's an area we are severely lacking. Not just for getting the puck to score goals but also in our own end. Especially when the opposition has a powerplay we need someone reliable to win the defensive face-offs.

Welcome to Felix, good to see the club bringing in additional players to support the team.
On the face of it he looks like the type of player we need, big, physical, good in the circle, hopefully he’s responsible defensively. He’s not racked up many points in his early pro career but he’s still young, hopefully he can add that to his game. If he can bring some energy and give his teammates a boost then he’ll be invaluable

I'd be looking to get him to say nice things to his brother to come and play for us too. www.eliteprospects.com/player/319958/cedric-pare

We need that big time, we have been poor in the face off circle this season. See attached, and this is markedly better lately. Up until the last few games, it was hovering around 40%... Attachments:

Only 4 games out of 20 have Panthers won more face offs than they've lost this season so far. Attachments:
