Disappointing result considering they were leading 3 - 1

Refs turned the game at 3-1 imo. A very questionable call against us and then a very similar incident on the powerplay that didn’t get called again the Blaze, we were out of shape then they scored to make it 3-2.
Losing Despres in the 2nd was a big miss, I seriously hope he’s ok, it looked a very nasty high stick. We effectively went down to 5D and 9F at that point as Paredes sat Neilson out after the 1st period.
We seriously deserved to win that game, so deflating. Sign some players please Pacha

Unlucky on that one, we need some muscle up front big time. Ref made a couple of shocking calls against us nasty check from behind that a blind man could call it.

Blimey, Lemay apparently played 26:56 last night. That’s serious TOI for a forward. Michaud was over 25 minutes too. Even given the extra 5 minutes.

It’s sad to think about but 10 losses from 12 is sacking territory for a coach in a normal season but the lack of support from management suggests to me that they’re aiming the blame at Parades which if true angers me because out of the 10 losses we’ve lost 7 at a 2 goal or less deficit and of the 12 games we’ve played since we returned 3 have been at full strength

I don't think you can put any blame on JP. The blame needs to point at Black, then the GM for the usual.... Don't worry the fans will turn up even more this season.

Enjoyed my first trip back to the skydome for near enough a decade!
To be honest for 50 odd minutes we looked good. We were relentless with our energy, and created some great opportunities, that potentially a more confident group put away.
Maybe I’m naive but when we went 3-1 up I really felt we were turning a corner, but you could see a slight stand-offish kind of mindset, and once they got their 2nd it felt a tad inevitable as we’re not used to playing with a lead.
OT/ penalties are a lottery to some extent, but I honestly felt the performance was there last night, and we will be fine if we keep playing like that. The Despres high stick looked naughty at the time and he clearly wasn’t happy with it, flinging his helmet to the ice on his skate off, then seemingly losing his footing by the bench, which must be tough for the guys to see. Despres is such a quality player, so calm and assured again last night, hope he’s not out for long, but more importantly is okay and healthy.
Special mention to Welsh, his energy and effort was excellent again, he’s playing with real hustle at the moment and doing his job very well. A real bottom six grafter. As has been said a bigger forward who can separate down low and allow us to retain possession in the offensive zone would really help, as our skilled guys are easier to separate by opposition d-men.
Hopefully this afternoon we can get a much deserved two points!

Hopefully this afternoon we can get a much deserved two points! The thing with one or two bigger forwards is that they create space to let the faster guys to skate into without overrunning the net. Week after week we see that with opposition teams. Fast players who keep skating into brick walls are pointless. The template for this must be Guildford and how well they do this. Our forwards at the moment are very easy to pick up and defend against. That is the key to our front line going from strugglers to very dangerous.

So would I but if JP ain’t getting the support in reinforcements then it suggests that management may think the problem lies elsewhere
