They only had 17 players against Manchester (15 skaters), will they be short again for this one?

so was i but then i attempted to buy a ticket in the "cheap seats" and it came to £23 which i thought was bad enough but then the arena blatantly just barefaced added another 3 quid onto the ticket to then make a ticket for a league game in the cheapest seats £26 EACH.. This to me is no longer value for money event anymore even if i wanted to support the guys on the ice...

Baum is apparently getting checked for a broken foot... I guess if they pulled in the 2-way players they could make up the numbers, but depth has gone out the window. I think that's 7 or 8 players not able to play.

Outcome could be a 'flip of the coin'. Allowing for Giants injury list the "Grapes Count" reads. :- Panthers 1. Giants 2.

Incredibly frustrating game that. Only because I think Belfast were as poor as their league position suggests and if Panthers wern't so rusty after a 4 week lay off it'd have been a comfortable win.
Absoloutly a performance that in any other November would have me pretty angry, but you have to accept that a team whos had a month out going up against a team who are match fit is always going to struggle. Didn't click, soft penatlies and 2 big mistakes for the 2 important goals. All things considered they went out there and gave a decent account of themselves. Hopefully more reinforcements on the way and now the cobwebs are blown away it can be back to winning ways.

Rok made some fantastic saves, as did their goalie, yet I’ve come away feeling okay despite it being a tick in the loss column.

Agree with the above.
They were quite physical - and don’t feel we quite matched them in that respect. Not that we got any protection, mind.
Liked their 81 - Sato.
Onwards and upwards.

Referee #44 was terrible. Ref no 3 was no better. First competitive match for me for several years. Good to see the officiating has remained consistent, it's still bloody awful. Thought the Panthers did ok, all things considered. A lack of sharpness around Belfast's goal probably cost us.

Thought we gave a good account for ourselves in all honesty. New forward lines have been forced upon us by sad circumstances and that showed but chemistry will come with time. We need that additional forward in soon to give us the best chance of making up ground.
Quite simply, after watching both teams tonight, I’d rather be in our position than Belfasts. They were way way way off their normal ‘standard’.

It was good to be back for some competitive hockey. Didn't take too long to remember what a clown show officiating is in this league!
If it wasn't the first competitive game in a month, I think we take Belfast to the cleaners. They look a shadow of their former self. Was quite gutting that 2nd goal, Rok should have done better as he was very slow reacting to the wrap around.

I think it was a fair effort for a return to competitive action. Loved the never quit attitude that led to grabbing a 2nd goal after conceding the first empty better. I think the main issues came from the understandable rust from everything they’ve been dealing with and not playing for so long.
Definitely a good building platform for the rest of the season. Proud of the effort from them all today.

Gutted that the boys didn’t manage to get the win in their first competitive game back. I thought our fans would have been a lot louder than they were tonight as well, these guys deserve so much praise.
Anyway, it’s good to see them back on the ice, nice play and goal from Ryczek. Plenty of chances for both teams resulting from sloppy play. Besko pulling off amazing saves time and time again, wish he’d do one😂
Looking forward to visiting Cardiff next weekend, I win there would be brilliant

Felt we were the better team and were unlucky not to win to be honest.
Aside from a the 2nd goal which was a bit of a nightmare all-round we looked good.
A fully match fit team would have won tonight as Giants looked poor by their standards.
Depres made a solid debut and showed real touches of class...won't mention the cross check penalty though..
Lots of positives to take forwards, they should be proud of how they have readjusted back to league action.
