Went last night for the first time to see Peter Kay.
Place was totally ill equipped to cope with a crowd like that. Queues back into the streets half an hour before he was on stage.
Concourse so packed you couldn’t get to the toilets given the queues at the bars.
For a large venue, I’ve never seen anything like it.
It can probably cope better when not a sell out or just for the hockey when the ice area isn’t full of people too.
Chuckled at the overhead banners boasting successes in the 1990s by their ice hockey team.

Presume this is the Arena, Sheffield. It's ok but can see why they call it the tin shed. I agree it's poor as regards the 'getting past folk' with the food/drink queues but we also have that problem. We have no banners but I think if we did the organisation would put up the wrong ones. Forgetting the earlier years of the 50's, now wouldn't the Steelers chuckle about that too?

Chuckled at the overhead banners boasting successes in the 1990s by their ice hockey team. to be fair, it's no different at Nottingham for sell-out concerts. the concourses are busy on PanthersvSteelers days, but add on another couple of thousand people for concerts and it's positively heaving
