Queueing at the arena at 7am in January to get POFW weekend tickets, almost certain in the knowledge that Panthers would be there. Those days are gone for now. 7am? That's late... Try 11pm the night before.. good old days All right,,queuing at 6am on a cold Sunday morning OUTSIDE the old rink for regular season games, and going away empty handed on occasions.

I'd get there @5am, thinking if I'm early will be near the front, and wasnt anywhere near. Got better when I managed to get a reservation ticket so I had until the monday to pick up the tickets for my seat.

Secured my £1 tickets for me and the Mrs.
Will be interested to see if we get a free pint each. Mind you, after paying nearly £7 a pint when I have been, then I’m probably due a freebie.
Hopefully it will be cheerio the majority if this roster.

Yep.
My card statement has a couple of 7.70 and then 6.70s for subsequent pints. Got a pile of those Panthers plastic cups now.
Don’t even go there for what chips etc costs….
It’s no wonder they check bags going in. They’re more interested in food and drink than anything dodgy.

Can’t get them every game - just the ones where I think they know the crowds will be low.
Mrs works in a school and they are often offered to staff / kids there.

Great.... no wonder it ****** off fans who pay full price for a season ticket and half the seats are on freebies. Fine for the kids in the corner banging the drum though at least they put some effort in.

Fine for the kids in the corner banging the drum though at least they put some effort in. For context, there’s not blocks full of freebies, and it’s not every game. Tends to be in block 18 (where season tickets aren’t for sale) but we have been put elsewhere for a few others. If it gets kids and families into the sport, surely that’s a good thing? I wouldn’t have even thought about going had I not had a few of these. I’ve paid full price for games too, and spent money when I’m there on 50/50s and chucking those flyaway pucks. I think it’s a good initiative on the clubs part. I know Counteh do it too. Forest don’t have to these days as they can fill the seats, but they’ve been known to send players into schools with tickets.

Yes indeed it certainly naffs you off when you’ve shelled out £1100 for three season tickets yet people are there again and again on freebies. I had a guy who worked for me who’s son had a minor illness and gained free tickets regularly through the NHS. The son never went to a game but his Dad and Mum attended at least half the games a season on free tickets.

Are these deals offered to public sector workers then and potentially subsidised? If that’s the case fair enough.
I would be nice if ST holders had certain games where they could bring friends at a reduced price.

That`s a different topic entirely. People work just as hard in call center on next to nothing pay yet as its "not a public worker" they get nothing. Personally this public sector worker nonsense is now wearing very very thin. + Probbelly not the thread for it though

A reward scheme from their employer I’d be very surprised if that wasn’t the case anyway, Panthers won’t just give discounted tickets to public sector and not private unless there was cost covered somehow

Storm 3 Panthers 1, Will be cheering on the Storm in my panthers shirt as it more fun than watching Panthers Given that they've put *17 goals* past us in 4 league games and we've only managed 3 against them, I can't blame you. Chances are you'll have more chances to cheer something that way alas

This doesn’t make sense it’s not right.

Also, I don’t mind a lot of discounted tickets being issued if the goal is to actually fill the building close to capacity every week

Imagine if that was an import where a replacement could have been signed. You really don't have the first clue do you. It is a complex injury that could have been healed in a week, unfortunately it wasn't and had to be continually assessed and evaluated by medical professionals (of which I'm pretty sure you ain't one!). No-one lied, no-one was 'useless'. Also, Ferrara last played on the 26th of February, 10 days after the signing deadline so even if it was an import, no replacement could have been signed. Still, don't let facts get in the way of your usual agenda!

Lagrone on the books still but not playing. Why’s he here? Generally bad practice to cut players who got injured working for you. I'm not really sure if the club keep them here when it's concussion so they can monitor and provide the treatment or to get their moneys worth doing other jobs. 🤷♂️ You'd think they'd let them go home and save on accomadation costs.

Bad practice to cut an injured player yes....if only there was some sort of system in place like an “injury reserve” scheme or something ! 🙄 A cynic might think they string the fans along that he’s being monitored etc and might come back to avoid having to splash any cash, because if they said he was done from the start like the medics knew Lagrone was then the fans would be demanding a replacement and we can’t have that.
