He looks very frustrated. I have a feeling he squeezed out a few words whilst trying to keep a lid on his emotions. I'd imagine if he'd have spoken his real thoughts it would never made it into the public domain.

That had to be one of the worst games i've seen in a long time. They were woeful.

Worrying from GG tbh, don't you sign a team to fit the identity you want?

Worrying from GG tbh, don't you sign a team to fit the identity you want? I assume he didn’t get some players he wanted but while building a team why not try and replace the ones you miss out on with like for like players? When we replaced Hunt with Welychka I was worried he was signing a team on individuals rather than building a team trying to fit the right parts in the right place.

They should bring Neilson back, we've not been the same since he left. The last season he was here wasn't great but it was a lot better than what we've seen from Graham and this team so far.

Well that was wet! My comments would have been, firstly I want to apologise to the fans because that was not good enough. I'm disappointed and frustrated by the performance today and its down to me to get it right. We will be working hard in training to turn this around fast.

Absolute disaster. Got dominated in board plays in the offensive zone, zero ability to complete passing plays in the neutral zone, can’t skate round the defence while carrying the puck, cycling the puck to no one (lost count of how many times we did this), created no space whatsoever and looked terrible under pressure in our own zone while on the puck. Left Berry out to dry. Once again I’ll say way to one dimensional and when it doesn’t work it’s atrocious. Boring to watch as well. Gagnon screaming at the bench and snapping his stick and still no reaction from the team. Absolute horror show. How them stats looking now?

Worryingly he seems devoid of ideas and that interview is bizarre didn't seem all that bothered either.

We will probably never know but I really wanna know what happened from him describing a physical to what we have now. Did he ever have a plan while building the team (I’m sure he did)? Did plans change mid way through recruitment? And if so why did it change so drastically.

Lost, clueless, no inkling of a plan B, just about zero coaching by the look of it, middle of September and already having a sweep on the date he gets the bullet and to make it worse he actually signed the team...

Got to say i've not been impressed by Graham so far and that's not just a snap reaction to tonights awful result.

Glad I didn't buy a season ticket, but really pi**ed off at the NIC who have hiked prices by about 50% this season. Beer now £6.50 from £4, coke £4 from £3 slush puppies albeit coke and Fanta £5 from £2.50 burger meal £14.50.
2 admin fees now for tickets.
Fans are being really ripped off and to watch this.
I'm not going til this gets sorted out.

There's more wrong than actually right. They ain't bad players they clearly ain't playing for coach graham. There was no effort even simple passes were not getting completed. Looks a team of individuals all trying to do their own thing then you look at Coventry who all looked on the same page

Gagnon snapped his stick in front of Graham at the break in the 2nd, not sure he’s had too many minutes after that. Prior to snapping his stick Gagnon told the players on the bench to show some passion & wake the F Up several times. To say he was frustrated was an understatement. It was loud enough that Neil Black would have heard it. Yes he was here tonight & I think it was Freddie who was with him. After the 6th Goal for Coventry Caruso was giving Brassard a mouthful about something he clearly wasn't happy either. Oh to be a fly on the wall at training this week. The cracks are clearly starting to show. On ice performance needs turning around quick. If it doesn't happen then changes need to be made if management are true in saying they want to build a winning culture within the club again.

Whilst I agree on your views I'm not entirely sure he signed the team on his own. Pacha has done some great things and has also talked a good game so far. They knew the critisism of Ducet being involved in recruitment before so made sure they made the fans believe GG was the man doing it thus time. All the Brits must've been Pacha signings, that should be quite obvious. We've also signed a number of other players with EIHL experience too. Players Pacha will have seen but GG not. I would strongly suggest Pacha had as much input in signings as Ducet did, if not more. If not then you could argue that was stupid in its own right. Either they have meant every word they've said and it's just gone wrong or they are both great at saying the right things they know people want to here. GG like many of the signings was never as big as the fanfare from large portions of the fan base would've had you believe. He is a coach with some experience for sure. But like a fair few of the signings his CV isn't all that. Lots of negatives being chucked out here, and rightly so. I've been beating the drum for changes since day 1, but i'm prepared to give GG some more time to get it sorted. There needs to be some clear imorovements though, and quick.

Unless several changes are made nothing is getting sorted there and watching Graham tonight I would be staggered if we finish as high as fifth. He looks like a rabbit stuck in the headlights.

The cracks are clearly starting to show. On ice performance needs turning around quick. If it doesn't happen then changes need to be made if management are true in saying they want to build a winning culture within the club again. Unfortunately it’s alright Gagnon having a strop, circling round chatting up opposition players, taking the talk but he isn’t walking the walk either. At 3-0 down, he’s the player to be the catalyst to show up, lay a big hit, no-choice a fight and spark a reaction and turn the tide. But Gagnon was a bang average player years ago and he’s a bang average player now, just with a strangely improved reputation. Graham promised to sign a team others in the league would hate to play against and I think he put all his eggs in the basket of Garet Hunt. Teams are licking their lips to play Nottingham right now. Some particular low-lights tonight: Johnston. 8 pims and I didn’t notice a single accurate pass. A long way from the player Coventry had 2 years ago. Ferrara likewise, maybe always relied on being tee’d up, but he looks devoid of interest to even get involved. Lagrone. Really wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt early on, but he makes me crave Kyle Hardy to return. Anderson. His name was on the team sheet, other than that he didn’t have any bearing on the game. Caruso. Less Jason Beckett as some touted, more Mike Berube. Overall though, the buck stops with Graham. It’s his team, his blueprint, his research and PR that stated this team was not going to be messed with. No reaction during the game, no plan B, no idea what he can or should do as he sees the rot already setting in.

Have to say too that it wouldnt surprise Me too if Pacha has had more than a hand in signing at least some of the imports.
We certainly haven't got the type of team GG initially promised.
And Pacha is on record as saying he likes fast attacking passing teams. Whilst that isn't exactly what we've got, the team is closer to that than the type of team GG initially described.

We had some old Newcastle mates visiting as their daughter has just started at Trent Uni. Marty summed up our performance nicely (for those old enough to remember) "that was worse than watching the Riverkings".

As i said in my other thread, where are the stand out star quality players? We need some more class and skill. Hammond is good yes but he's no David Beauregard.

We also need some big physical forwards and some dirty gritty smaller players. In fact all the types of players that make a good balanced hockey team.

I think it's clear something is wrong in the locker room, the players looked disinterested and not together. I wonder if GG has lost the changing room already.
I was stunned at how bad that was tonight
