Did anyone listen to the sports programme on Radio Nottingham 'tween 6 and 7 last night? Whole hour with Omar and Gary talking about all things Panthers. Discussed fans, team, past performances, links with Lions and much more. Very interesting.

Yes and can be listened to on the link below too, need to sign up to bbc I think if you haven’t already but well worth a listen www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0cqdsxrSome excellent questions and some refreshingly honest answers, amongst a few funnies and good chat.

A very good listen, they can certainly talk those two. Hearing good stuff like this makes you wonder what the bloody hell they’ve been doing in that Panthers office the last 20 years. Bone idle and couldn’t be bothered springs to mind !

Was interesting when he said they spoke to players on exit to see what could be done better, both answers were what we had heard at the quiz night from a few players so was nice to hear they weren't telling porkies and also the club had taken note with the new players coming in. 1. Players wanted to feel valued - one of the reasons we lost Perlini & Ollie 2. Accomodation - okay not everyone is as lucky as Nottingham to have great digs & players are here to work etc but last year Mr Green put them up in sub standard accommodation, filthy is one word.
Looking forward to seeing this lot, and a great interview.

Wonder if the players mentioned Panthers social media could be better seeing as Dan Kerry has now disappeared from the off ice team roster on the O/S. One lives in hope ! 🤣

Like him or not (and we all get that you don't) to gloat over the possibility that someone has possibly lost their job is, for me, distasteful at best. Give your head a shake. Secondly, how out of date/just plain wrong is this page? www.panthers.co.uk/office/elite-league-info

No different to somebody saying they were glad Doucet or a player had gone. But if he has gone then perhaps he’ll look back at his mistakes as he seemingly irritated more than a few fans.

Secondly, how out of date/just plain wrong is this page? www.panthers.co.uk/office/elite-league-info[ It’s raising points like this Official Website message which puts me amongst one of two different types. We have the supporters who are all out for the physical game and nothing much more and those others who are passionate enough to be on board with what’s happening in the sport and I can’t explain tonnes here of it but the general fan won’t care that the OS is failing. The others will be upset/ annoyed etc when our sport is not watertight in its workings. We can talk all we want about being transparent but it’s lazy and not very educating to those we want to attract to the sport when THIS type of exposure can be picked up by us. Que the Cage thread on Elite errors. If I complain of not hearing from our club after three occasions of writing and writing of the same subject matter, asking for a reply I might also be slammed for thinking of my own assumed importance. However it upsets me that the sport fails when it can avoid doing so. Like Iggy said we are all not the same. Some of us want it to be the best that the sport can. That out of date piece just before the show begins is terrible. I hope that I will get an answer to my questions like I hope I will eventually hear from the passport office of the error on our documentation ( no answer from two complaints) before I need to go away. It’s so demoralising and reason why you’ll find apathy to ‘go along’ with what the sport wants from us. The radio broadcast is a continuation of the positives that we have had to date. The next good news will be that the team does it’s part and we can go from strength to strength.

Secondly, how out of date/just plain wrong is this page? www.panthers.co.uk/office/elite-league-infoIt's embarrassing and makes Omar's job harder at getting people to take us seriously as an organisation again. Messaged the team on the contact us form and pointed out that it's clearly not been checked in 4-5 years. When I pointed out the missing retired numbers sections they changed it in 48hrs. This time I also pointed out that it would have been good if at that point whoever was in charge of the website had reviewed the whole website for errors at the same time rather than just correct what had been pointed out. Seems a fair point Fingers crossed they're in the process of building a new more professional website more in keeping with trying to be back amongst the big teams but there's no reason that the old one can't be accurate/not embarrassingly wrong in the meantime. It's great to see us getting back in the media but imagine if the same media had made the 'mistake' of using our own website to prepare for interviews... Exactly. Why make it easier to score an own goal?

Pretty much every Giants and Devils announcement makes the main BBC Sports page. Since Omar we've started reappearing a little but only one signing announcement made the cut (Ferrara). Would be nice to get back to the stage where reports of our games or signings routinely make it back there as well, but there's a lot of media rebuilding to be done for that to happen. If you take a look at the page you'll see what I mean. But kudos to Omar for clearly having put in the work to make us a viable guest and topic again locally and for starting that rebuild www.bbc.co.uk/sport/ice-hockey?page=1

I'm not an expert but I like and prefer our website over the other clubs. It's more user friendly to me as I can find things but the errors on it and as a whole the specifics like the BBC sports page outside our own club sites sticks out like a sore thumb. I could list a few ideas and improvements but recently have no intention because I don't want to upset or hang around the clubs neck on these points but like 'blackandgold 73' have done so in the past as regards these howlers. Valid points made there on those site reviews being missed and getting it 'top notch'. As I said before some of us are that different kind of fan, wanting to see the best for club and sport and so putting our toes into the water rather than avoid/ignore these issues.

Goodness. The very page highlighted above appears to have been edited overnight... It's still not perfect, but it has at least been updated. Someone does read the Cage at Panthers Towers...

To be fair I did use the "contact us" form on the website to let them know so I wouldn't take it as definitive evidence of reading the Cage ☺️

Again another speedy response that speaks volumes about Omar's new culture at the club! Way to go Omar! (Or whoever reads the forms) The fact it can be done so quickly and easily shows how easy it is to turn the ship around! The fact it can be and hadn't been doesn't reflect well on whoever's responsibility it was in the past. Here's to the new regime
