Thought it best to check because the way it was coming across didn't read the way you seem to intend it from what you've just said. Yes. Seems hard to image this year's team could have been created out of the identical budget as last teams isn't it. Other stuff like the new transparency and engagement with fans cost nothing really, but time, respect and personal investment/commitment from the organisations staff so it's sad to imagine what some of the past years could have been like had just these core values been adopted. Not every positive change needs to necessarily cost big bucks. As Omar clearly demonstrated before joining us. |

Anything written in anything other than a full piece of well thought out prose can often be easily misconstrued by a reader. I too read your initial post as being more than a little sarcastic/mocking. Once called on it though, the writer has the option to retreat and say "Oh no, I didn't mean that at all, here's what I meant." Even if (and I'm sure that's not the case here) that's not actually what they initially meant at all. Tricky stuff, the written word. And before you say, it's happened to me too, so I speak from experience. The trick is to learn from it. |
