Hook is leaving the EIHL. Belfast site calls it an exciting opportunity. You would think that rules out moving to another EIHL team, so Scandinavia possibly ? He's definitely leaving the EIHL. That's all I can say on it really. |

Wouldn’t have been upset if he had returned but I think his spot on the roster has already been filled. Hopefully these last two forwards we sign are real quality |

I remember right when GG was appointed Szydlowski was the first name mentioned Hammond one was on the Twitter rumours site saying 3 arena teams are battling it out for him (and as Cardiff have completed their roster, by process of elimination puts us in the frame) The Szydlowski rumour seems to have reared its head again, not sure how much truth is behind it though |

Just to clarify, it’s not a rumour currently
Just had a look through GG’s Komets rosters from previous years seen that Szydlowski had his best years with GG.
He hasn’t signed for anyone yet, he won’t retire at 31 surely?
And we need a RW.
So was just a thought really

Is there any known movement on the Brit backup GK?
Usually filled fairly early on.
Personally I’d like to see us give Ben Churchfield a better go at the EIHL after his hometown dispatched him last year. Put up some good numbers in the SPHL on a team that would make the 2017 Edinburgh Capitals look competive.

Not a mid/late 30’s who has NHL/KHL/SHL throughout their career but spent the last few seasons in leagues like France and Romania |

I agree, but to be fair, the last couple of seasons have been somewhat affected by macro events.
Welsh was our "best" player last season and he's exactly that second kind of player.
Age is just a number if you have the drive and smarts. That Ling fellow etc.
