The interview given on YouTube is very good, you can see that Pasha wants to progress and how highly thought of he is in Dundee, I really hope he knows what he’s getting into by coming here and I hope NB treats him as good as Mr Ward. He has one hell of a challenge on his hands.

Depends how much control he has.. he needs to make his first job getting rid of Doucet (if he already hasn't gone).

There was that Facebook post/email about things not going as expected, things have to get better, actions speak louder than words.
I wonder if this is the start?

If he's appointed it's a good start but he still needs to be backed by NB more than any coach has since CN left!

Depends how much control he has.. he needs to make his first job getting rid of Doucet (if he already hasn't gone). And there will lie the problem. NB hasn’t given anyone control so why start now, rumours has it he was only offered a year contract and he told NB it’s not long enough. He needs longer than that to repair the damage to this club. According to a couple of players Doucet was walking (not sacked) because he’s just had enough and his hands are tied.

See what's what I don't understand.. how can NB have a ounz of control when he's hardly ever there ? Gary ran the club for years and controlled everything before his health took a turn.. surely bringing someone like pacha in who actually has hockey knowledge needs full control (like kelman has) .

Neil Black is 90% at fault for the season we've just had and more so for the huge decline over the last 6 or 7 seasons.
Doucet for me was doing his job with 1 hand tied behind his back at least. He was a rookie in the role and probably meant Black felt he meeded more involvement. Doucet made some very clear recruitment errors though, that regardless of budget were clear for all to see. I think it's right he goes, but people need to be a little more respectful I feel.
Pacha comes in(We think, imagine if hes announced in Sheffield 🤣) with a chunk more experience in managing off Ice stuff aswell as knowing what it takes to be a coach in this League. Hopefully that, coupled with Black realising it's a sinking ship means Pacha gets much more control.
I've said a few times already, I really think this is a season Black puts his hands into his pockets. STs and attendances may be down, but he is a succesful Business man and isn't stupid. He's plenty of other things but stupid isn't one of them. He knows it's time to do something more.
P.S - Please Mr Pacha, grant me my wish and bring Haas with you.

That's probably why they are bringing him in as he's used to working with a small budget lol

Doucet leaves. Well, that’s number 1 of what was wanted.

I thought that what was wanted was someone with a few more "contacts" than GD? A hot line into the european league's best players? Pacha doesn't really fit that bill? Or is that the coach's job?

Or is that the coach's job? *if* he's coming it does sound like he's very much coming as GM/CEO only. To run the organisation and take over from Gary, not too run the team. To have some experience in hockey and therefore to have more knowledge of what might be a good call on a signing and demands but not too have the contacts to make the signings happen in the first place. Perhaps why the CEO title has been muted? I don't read this as a Doucet replacement. But, instead as coming in above any DOH or HC to set the tone, clean house, and rebuild the organisation and it's relationship with the fans. But again that's if it happens. If he showed up now to strengthen Steelers set up I think the Cage might self immolate!

Pacha has excellent contacts. Just look at the teams he has built on very small budgets. Charlie Combs for one
