I'll start this one off with...Jerseys on the OS for bidding. There, that's the sales add out of the way. I'm the Cardiff to win vote as somebody has to.

Cardiff through by the looks of things. So the expected final really, shame there's been no upsets.

Cardiff took their chances, Guilford had a lot of pressure.
If Cardiff play like this against Belfast, then it won't be much of a Final.
Really thought that Guildford would pull this one off (This one)

After all the chat about ticket prices and fans not attending because of the increases what was the attendance like on for the semis?

After all the chat about ticket prices and fans not attending because of the increases what was the attendance like on for the semis? I was told 3,400 Chairman's programme notes, " I accept fully that many of you will be upset with the league, the clubs, and myself as chairman for the decision we took earlier in the year relating to this final weekend and the prising structure. we had our reasons and all ten clubs agreed to move forward with the increases. Have we made mistakes? Maybe, but those mistakes will be judged in time and not over this unique play off weekend in 2022". The answer to the question is 'YES' and I think you know your judgement is already understood to be wrong and it's up to you about the next season. Supporters made their minds up and largely I think its your move now or you'll get the same next year. "Did we expect kick back? Of course we did, perhaps not as big as there has been, but we as a league have to remain strong" ….etc...."As I said earlier, whether that decision is a success (got away with it I'd say - spik) or not will not be judged at the end of these play offs but maybe those in years ahead" Get that, not now, not for a while....maybe not at all eh? One thing crossed my mind. These notes are not being read by those who boycotted the weekend, less reproduced elsewhere.

If all ten clubs agreed to the prices then they are equally culpable. I expected better from some, not others.

He either throws some clubs officials under the bus or, he shows a united front. Clearly it would've taken 6 clubs to vote it through though. Wouldn't suprise me if it was a case of bowing to the lower clubs again, just like the 19 bench size stupidness this season. It really annoys me those clubs have the rest by the balls.

Watched the Belfast game and the arena looked empty. Delighted in that.

It would be interesting if Nottingham or Sheffield had got to the actual final whether it would of been a sell out but we will never know.
Personally, I think they made a mistake so as someone else has already said over to you Elite League for next seasons Playoffs.

Personally, I think they made a mistake so as someone else has already said over to you Elite League for next seasons Playoffs. Finally a bit of sense. The weekend has been moved (at fairly short notice) to a BH weekend, your historical main 2 contributors to the sale of tickets are not playing in the weekend (for the first time ever) we're all facing a cost of living crisis and the pandemic rumbles on. In the midst of that, the EIHL make what seems (in hindsight) to be a strange decision to remove concession price tickets from the weekend. The net result is a 2/3 full (being generous) bowl. Not a good look. I suspect, to a greater or lesser degree, all the above played into the weekend's attendance. The bowl may not have been full even if prices had been held and concessions maintained, for potentially all 4 of the above reasons. We'll never know the counter-factual. Do we want to take a book on what prices will be next year?

That's just it they've set a precedent now.. they are hardly going to reduce the weekend pass by 30 odd quid next year are they . It will be the same as this year but with consessions.
