Vaskivuo was a PPG player at Panthers. 17 in 17.

In fairness to them, before we got Dave we had got Jason Williams in at Christmas, who had then got injured in January. That was when we used to do mid season ringers properly.
If you look up Dave's signing thread, not much has changed 🤣

Thought I recognised the name but can’t remember what he was like, must have come towards the end of the season as he had two previous clubs before us? He was very much a last minute, lets get another body in. Played as a 3rd/4th line forechecker, chipped in with a few points. Not Trevor Gallant, more Mike Vaskivuo. Mike Vaskivuo was a lot better than him to be fair.

I remember when Sarkanis was first brought in, he was advertised to the fans as a very speedy forward. The first game I saw him really get his legs moving was against the Giants and his speed was indeed impressive, until Vandermeer absolutley laid him out at the blue line. Which then was followed up by a nice little tilt with McGrattan.

This ostrich impression Omar is doing at the moment is quite astounding.
It's common knowledge that he's already left Nottingham and has gone to wherever he's off to.
Even if they're waiting for paperwork or payments to be made, he's not coming back so why not just put an announcement out.
All the management are doing at the moment is alienating the fans by ignoring the elephant in the room and pretending everything is normal.

To be fair he's possibly busy spit polishing another 80's night or something

So much so that the camera on tge jumbotron showed the same people in the crowd more than once.

Any other club it would be unbelievable. But then this is Panthers afterall. Things like this have long since ceased to be a surprise to me and I'm sure many other people too.

If anyone wants to dress up, then bless them, and all power to them but surely someone has to look into the sewerage show on the ice at some point and put a bit of effort into sorting that out. Gold standard crap

Yep, end of the day we’ve had a massive amount of change off ice and it’ll take time to settle down. You’ll never please everyone all the time. On ice has been a shocker, GG needed to go. CN can do so much but the players just aren’t that good. The table doesn’t lie. We have weaknesses all over the ice. A new owner, who makes it about the team and not the money would be amazing but can’t see that happening. Stay away from games and give them something to think about.

Well it could quite easily be all change again if Corey moves on.. I'd much prefer the on ice stuff to be tried and tested . That's what the club is measured by

This is the bit that gets me.
The players haven't performed, collectively certainly and for the most part, individually none have brought the stats we had expected.
How has that happened, and could/should anyone at HQ have known? It's a gamble bringing new players in, but have all the new players come down tails except Welychka? Johnston, Brady, Ferrara and Hammond were point machines in previous EIHL stints. Not this year. How?

Because the culture in Nottingham never gets the best out of players .. go back 30 years how many players have come in with decent CVs and disappointed.. Josh Shalla rings a bell to name one
