Come on,of course they’ve got funds, they just don’t want to spend it so they string the fans along with injuries by saying “week to week”. This has happened before several times, they must think the fans are bloody stupid ! I don’t think the club is lying to fans when they say Lagrone is week to week as he has concussion so his symptoms could come and go from week to week and there’s no way to put a time frame on his recovery. I assume there will come a point when they announce that he’s done for the season if he’s not improving Bear in mind though it’s Lagrone’s second,he was out then came back and was promptly put out again. There must be a big question mark over his future. Then there’s Moore, yes he got hit with the puck but that should have been easier to assess. It’s certainly not the first time this dragging out of injuries with no replacement has happened. Just listen to NB in that Clan interview from yesterday, he’s talking on and on making a big issue about Clan being short of 2 Dmen but they have been for ages and done nothing about it other than a temporary guy (Bolton) for a few games and he soon went back home. Now either Black is lying,he hasn’t a clue or there’s a distinct pattern here with his teams and injuries.

I find it bizarre how every year we compare our roster to those who are challenging for the league and we come to the conclusion that our roster isn’t as good but then we want players back who wouldn’t make the rosters of those we’re meant to be competing with Agreed. As far as I can see there are only three imports worth bringing back,Welychka for sure, then possibly Welsh and Caruso. The rest of them either just aren’t good enough or don’t produce enough. Welychka and Leven would be lethal with the right players around them and Summers would come on well under CN too (especially when you look at how long we stuck it out with Tetlow and Summers is already head and shoulders better and he can actually skate too) but any of the rest? Possibly Brady but it depends if the league dumbs down the wage cap even further with rinks now struggling to keep ice plants running. We are going to be a posh version of the EPL the way things are going.

Both times Lagrone has injured himself by his own sheer awkwardness and to come back in the same season for round three would be madness with the possible problems that could cause in the future.

quote]Mmmm 🤔 then again with Dubeau 5 might just have been the correct answer. Lol Has anybody seen Lagrone lately,is he actually still in Nottingham ?[/quote]
Both were on the 'wooo' camera at the end of the game high fiving the players as they came off. Prior to that Moore and Debeau were on the merchandise stall selling tickets.

Yes indeed and both him and club must be very well aware of it and if or when he does eventually come back it’s a fair bet opposition teams will target him. The whole D thing this season just doesn’t make any sense, I mean even when they did bring a player in it was Ricci who’s a forward and with a shocking plus/minus figure of about minus 25 ! 😳🙄

Caruso is on a uni deal so it’s highly likely he will return, hopefully he doesn’t get any slower next season though! I fully agree with you about Summers and Gagnon, we’ve got a good two-way defenceman and a good stay at home defenceman in them, I’d be happy if they both returned next season. If we were to go with one out of Joe and Archie I’d prefer us to go with Archie, he’s younger and I’d argue he’s better than Joe was at the same age. Going off at a slight tangent, after watching the past two games against Coventry, if there was any defenceman that we should have kept from last season it should have been Norrish I find it bizarre how every year we compare our roster to those who are challenging for the league and we come to the conclusion that our roster isn’t as good but then we want players back who wouldn’t make the rosters of those we’re meant to be competing with If I’m being brutally honest I wouldn’t want Caruso back, but he’s on a uni deal so we’re kind of stuck there. I’d argue that Gagnon is a better defender than Caruso as well, neither of them bring any offensive upside though. Summers is a good player, you don’t think he’d make it into any other top side in the league?

If you don't want them back cancel their education or tell them to fund their own course !

It seems to be every year where there's never more than 3 worth keeping! Til that changes to half the roster at least nothing will ever change as there's no continuity

But what was it GG said about Caruso....he plays a 200 foot game and can do it all. Mmmm I think not ! Lol Just shows what codswallop they come out with to big up a signing. 🙄

Lagrone was said to be to ill to attend the auction as he was still recovering from injury & Dubeau was feeling unwell after the game it was said.. Craig Moore did attend it.

Overall GA per game is 3.61, in the games Caruso has played in, it is 3.65. That said, Caruso has 16 minuses in his 20 GP, the others have 26, 34 and 36 respectively. Lagrone has 7 in 11GP, and Moore 10 in 14. That said, Caruso has 13 +s in his 20GP, the other 3 have 22, 25 and 25 respectively. So, him playing doesn't seem to affect the amount we concede, but he is one of the better ones at keeping it out of the net. But doesn't create as many scoring chances?

As I suspected Caruso doesn’t contribute much offensively but seems to do his defensive job pretty well. I look a lot at who’s on the ice for goals conceded and I just keep seeing Brassard and more Brassard all the time, followed by Gagnon and Summers regularly but Caruso only for the odd goal each game. (The last five games illustrate this perfectly if you look at the numbers on the game sheets).

Panthers have conceded 19 PPGs in the league this year. Brassard has been on the ice for 12 of those. His nearest rival is, a touch surprisingly, Welychka, at 8.

Nikas Tikkinen & Jeff Solow join Glasgow Clan Imports 20 and 21 signed for the Clan. Presumably Boulton was "injury cover" or whatever they call it? Thought you were supposed to keep one back for a netminder in the playoffs?

Thought you were supposed to keep one back for a netminder in the playoffs? Netminders are an exception I believe and you are allowed an emergency one. Although most EIHL teams seem to have two import netminders anyway. So far this season then it’s 21 imports signed for Clan and only 17 for Panthers is it ? Mmmmm 🤔

Thought you were supposed to keep one back for a netminder in the playoffs? No doubt the league will be along shortly to clear up how this all fits in with the roster rules... (tumbleweed) There's probably some sort of exception if lots of your players jump ship. They just haven't mentioned that/only just made it up.
