It doesn’t augur well. So far in 36 league games the Giants have scored 45 more goals and also conceded 45 less goals than Panthers. Bloody hell,a difference of 90 goals between the two teams, thats some going in only 36 games ! 😳

Are there any places in town showing this game by any chance? Doesn't sound like it. Obviously it can be purchased, for the hugely surprising sum of fifteen pounds*, from Giants TV. (* A fiver more than all match tickets this time.)

If it goes to O/T in the semi’s they’ve changed the rules today and now going 3 on 3 for TEN minutes.

The Panthers line up will be interesting for tonight. Given that Domingue has been on the team sheet (then scratched) for the last two games, I wonder if he will play. No mention on his status from the Panthers as yet
If he does, who will drop out?
Will the lines be changed?

I know we put in a much improved performance last week, and was unlucky not to take the win, but tonight could turn ugly quickly if Giants take their chances, as we saw in the game on Jan 3rd, which was all over after 5 mins. Instead of relying on Carr and d-men blocking shots, we need to continue our improved defensive performance and try to frustrate them. Then hope we can bounce one in off Jade's backside like in 2011

Highly doubt we'll win this. If we do I'll go to the final in a tshirt saying "Gui Doucet is a hockey genius".

(* A fiver more than all match tickets this time.) The £10 price was set by the league because semi finals were made one off games. The charge of £15 for the webcast is the same as every other teams. Premier Sports decided Steelers v Devils was the game they wanted to cover. I'm sure if this game has been in Nottingham the charge for the webcast would have been the usual cost of £15. Murphy & Boucher back in tonight's line-up for the Giants

Well, yeah obviously, and it would still be a huge rip off, like every other 15 quid webcast.
That the lower match ticket price makes it even more egregious this time is just the cherry on top.

It could change but it looks like Whistle is going to be starting in net for the Giants, he’s listed as GK1 on the gamesheet which normally indicates who is starting. At least I’m hoping he’s starting!
Looks like Hedberg is going to be the healthy scratch for us as well, he’s got ‘TS’ listed next to his name on the gamesheet which has been indicator of who sits out. I thought it might have been a good idea to play him tonight for his speed and to give us an outlet on the break, especially if he’s going to be playing on the 4th line.

I saw someone on THF state that the IIHF deadline is March 1st, which is due to it being a Winter Olympics year.

Like miles away from it, not even close. I know exactly what he means. Personally I would put a cap on costs of webcast at £10, but this is a business for ALL teams, and finances especially after the past couple of seasons need to be upheld. Another thing about this league decision is Giants season ticket holders who's season ticket normally covers ALL league and CCup have had to purchase tonight's ticket just like everyone else. This is a different season for everyone, hence the decision that was made, and agreed be all clubs.
