We could win or lose 10-0 and it literally wouldn't matter.

It would be nice to win just to break the losing streak before the important game with Fife.
Presumably they'll be short again, won't rush players back for this.

Or, no worry on the final score BUT get shooting practice in and better the scoring ratio, ready for Fife game. But bettering the scoring should get the win to break the losing. However, bettering the scoring should get the win to break the losing.

I wonder how many will bother with this pointless game?

If Sheffield win this game they become the 1st seed and have to play Coventry in the 1/4 finals, if they lose they become the 2nd seed and have to play Fife in the 1/4 finals.

He says that it is non performance enhancing drug that he has taken. Can we assume that it is recreational then. Does that make any difference for the length of the ban?
What was he thinking?

The same as a large chunk of EIHL hockey players. Recreational drug use is allegadly rife. They likely rarely get tested and DeLuca has been highly "unlucky".

Sheffield missing Deluca, Ellerby, Vallerand and Connelly. I know Dowd and Eberle were injured last weekend as well, are they playing tonight?

The only way you lot will lose tonight is if you throw the game to get your choice of Coventry or Fife, its really a nailed on win for you. Vallerand, Connelly, Dowd & Deluca missing and Eberle probably being played when he shouldn't be. We have no fire power upfront, it would be a miracle if the Steelers won this.

Not sure but I bet that we’ll lose tonight Maybe, it’s a similar situation to what we had in Cardiff the other week, it galvanises the team. I imagine we’ll be playing Kerlin as well. The game is absolutely pointless though, a success is if we get out of it without any injuries.

No Matheson for us this weekend then, ruled out due to Covid.

Looks like no Matheson this weekend due to Covid.
Current score line 3-1 to Panthers in 1st period.
Goals from Welsh, Suoranta and Brassard
