The idea of a new history book sounds good to me because this guy can write. My books are mainly stats and facts, pics and info material. I like to add material from other fans also, who are happy to share their work to give body. Being able to ‘read’ more about the club/ team is warranted and I can only assume this is a private venture. ‘ UK Ice Hockey - it’s History and competitions winners’ is a one off for me. Another updated Panthers all-time stats affair should follow. But hearing of this new venture by Paul is exciting if only to see how it fairs with all the other pieces of Nottingham Panthers history that has been written by either club or internet personnel. Looking forward to it Paul. This article , like others I can’t disagree with as Kiev stated.

One idea would be to incorporate cup games on the season ticket.

The first thing I’d do as the new sales executive would be a questionnaire asking how Panthers could improve their whole ethos from a fan perspective. It’s about time and long overdue that they started to listen to their fan base.

One idea would be to incorporate cup games on the season ticket. I agree in principle, however I think realistically this would come with a bigger price tag which I imagine Panthers would be wary of. As it stands we only get 25 games out of 27 in the league add 4 cup and pro-rata it would increase by the number of games by nearly 25%. Prices might not rise by that much, but they would almost certainly increase. Plus, unless they sort out the challenge cup format, would we really want those extra 4 games?

Prices might not rise by that much, but they would almost certainly increase. Plus, unless they sort out the challenge cup format, would we really want those extra 4 games? Firstly, I agree that the cup format must be improved for it to work. I’d go with 2 groups of random 5, top 2 from each advance to semis. 4 home cup group games. I think fans would be in favour of a ST with more games for a few reasons. Firstly, it’s peace of mind for fans knowing all their home tickets are sorted, everything is paid for up front so no worries about finding money for extra games (direct debit option also needs to be re-introduced). Also, the discount per game on a season ticket is greater than what is currently offered for individual cup games (£2), so it would make sense for fans who want to watch all home games to go for the more expensive ST. I think it would be a positive for the club as it means they would already have all the money in the bank. If the club were worried that a price increase might put some people off then they could still offer a ST just for league games but the club must explain that overall it’s cheaper if you want to watch all the games. Another option could be to increase the price but set it so the price per game is a little cheaper. Currently, a Gold ST costs £415 for 25 games, £16.60 per game. As an example set the new Gold season ticket price at £485, have 27 league and 4 cup on it for 31 games and that equates to £15.65 per game. I understand that the club would be making less per game from ST holders, but I’m certain this would lead to an increase in overall ST sales and the club would ultimately make more money.

One thing the team should look at is how many season ticket holders actually attend the cup games. If only half of ST holders currently attend, then increasing the cost of the season ticket by half a game for cup games (I.e £8.30 for gold) would net just as much as they do now.
I personally think the cup games this year should have been £10 adults, £5 kids and just use it as a recruitment tool. Doing £10 a game on season ticket games will run some people up the wrong way, but games like Manchester with rock bottom attendances were a free hit for a promo deal.

Interesting promo for Panthers to consider, I've just seen this and based on social media it's building plenty of goodwill (and theoretically growing crowds).
They are doing cheap tickets in the Christmas period to #PackOutPR (current hovering around 20k crowds, but have 30k capacity). To compensate season ticket holders they are doing a deal, depending on how many extra fans show, they will give Season Ticket holders money off in the club shop. If a normal crowd of 20k shows up each game they get £3.50 per game. If they get 22k it's £5, on a sliding scale up to 28k where they can get £12.50 back per game. In theory season ticket holders could get just under £40 for encouraging their friends and family to come along.
I don't think timing works for Panthers (Christmas games always sell out), but the next 4 home games are Clan, Flyers, Blaze, Storm and are all gonna hover around 4-5000. So in theory we're running between 60-75% capacity. That's probably 10k+ empty seats until Christmas games against the Steelers we're currently not selling.

Just ran the numbers and I'm pretty sure Ipswich will make zero extra money on this. £40 for an adult ticket to all 3 games, and if they get 28k in (they have about 13,000 season ticket holders), they'll be paying all the adult season ticket holders £40! I think Ipswich could conceivably pay out more to season ticket holders than they get in extra gate receipts. But then they spend that money in the club shop, spend £40 of vouchers to buy a £50 jersey, etc... and the money all flows back in.

It’s taking some time to appoint this sales rep isn’t it. Maybe nobody’s daft enough to want it. 🤣

I doubt it'll attract an official announcement when someone is (or potentially was) hired. Although for any stalkers, the position is marked as TBC on their "off-ice team" page.

Perhaps nobody applied ! 🤣🤣 It's got a big record of around 5 years to beat how long that EIHL Commerical Director role took to be filled, and then withdrawn.

I doubt day to day operations has much to do with what happens on the ice. Presumably that's Doucet's department.
I see we did fill the sales and marketing role though, so at least there's an answer to that.

Perhaps we may see ‘new owner wanted’ soon. Then I bet Mr. Black piles tonnes of cash into Glasgow.

In hockey terms, it's Doucet.
Gary wasn't a GM in the hockey sense was he, not recently at least.
