Typical of Panthers own from the 1-5 loss game report. Dalls plays for the opposition apparently. Think they mean Dallas? I know it’s being picky but you check your work ( and this I’m penning isn’t ) before it goes out to the world.

They're at it again: www.eliteleague.co.uk/article/3045-video-review-clarificationCan't help thinking will need a clarification of these two clarifications soon as they cover very similar ground.... Clarification 1: "Referees are able to initiate a review to determine if the puck was played into the net with a high stick, or not." Clarification 2: "During Game 247, Belfast Giants vs. Cardiff Devils on Sunday 19 March, a video review was initiated by the officials *for a high stick in the lead up to a goal* during the first period. To clarify: In Elite League regular season games, a video review cannot be initiated for a missed game stoppage in the lead up to a goal." Sounds like a pub quiz question in the offing: "when is a high stick not a high stick penalty 'in the lead up' to a goal and when is it". PS: to make things interesting... This clarification also *doesn't apply at the playoff finals weekend or challenge cup final*, when they can be reviewed, but only after a coaches challenge. Still with us so far?

All these video review rules, it's no wonder the refs don't know what they're doing.

Still got the comma and full stop rationing in place at EIHL HQ. This month too it seems. Also introducing the grammatically/syntactically invented "wrap around hit". Surely that's got to be illegal and dangerous play? 😉 Seems they've got no commas and full stops to use but still have plenty of extra spaces to use. It's the same thing right??? What's next replacing tomatoes with turnips in supermarkets? Oh no, wait they already tried to sell us that idea. Breathe in, and begin... "Payton Frantti's attempted wrap around hit Drydn Dow and went over the line to put the Blaze ahead with 2:46 played at the Dundee Ice Arena, but the hosts were level at 10:16 through the aforementioned Dow on a loose puck after Jonathan McBean redirected Erik Naslund's shot to leave Paavo Hölsä stranded. " And ...collapse/breathe out www.eliteleague.co.uk/article/3042-blaze-take-road-win-in-dundee

" www.eliteleague.co.uk/article/3042-blaze-take-road-win-in-dundeeAlso completely mangled the content. Nothing major. You know, just who scored the goals. Minor stuff like that 🙄 "John Curran scored the only goal of period three to cement a solid road win for the Blaze." Not according to the game sheet or even your own Game Centre feed EIHL. Try Mitch Cook But I guess we should be relieved they actually got the right teams at least this time

And it has some pretty stiff competition. “Attempt at a” would have left the meaning much clearer than “attempted”. And at least *some* punctuation might have been nice?

All these video review rules, it's no wonder the refs don't know what they're doing. You can’t help feeling if the rules were correctly drafted, unequivocal and clearly explained and communicated, there wouldn’t be a need for all these clarifications…

correctly drafted, unequivocal and clearly explained and communicated Not words you ever really associate with the Elite League. We're more bag for life cup draws with too many balls.

“ This win means that there no is no mathematical possibility for Belfast Giants to win the league title this weekend unless the Flames drop points in their fixtures.”
Translates as
“It is absolutely mathematically possible that Giants could win the title this weekend.”

I knew it was bad at the NIC tonight, but x-rated? "Dundee Stars kept their slim playoff hopes alive with an excellent road victory in Nottingham, beating the Panthers XXX on Wednesday night." www.eliteleague.co.uk/article/3051-stars-still-alive-in-playoff-raceLots of good stuff from the scribes with this one. "The Stats", "Ben Sokway" (x2), "pack-post tap-in". Maybe it's an experiment with monkeys and typewriters? Complete works of Shakespeare or at least a faultless match report?

I guess the question would be, when did the writer write that time-saving sentence? 5 minutes to go? After the second? After the first? Last Sunday night?

Okay, so we're used to them not giving a damn about spelling players names right but you'd think they'd at least try with the Head Coach of a franchise, and in the first sentence of the article: "Dundee Stars moved quickly to replace Jeff Mason as Head Coach with the announcement that Mark Lefebvre is returning to Tayside." I mean it's not like they don't know how to spell it... Or do they spell it mark with a c at the end of the article just to cover all bases because they really can't be bothered to check which it is?? 🙄 www.eliteleague.co.uk/article/3092-lefebvre-returns-to-stars

“The Giants got the lead early in the game with tMark Cooper 20th goal of the season at 05:35, taking a pass from deep within the Giants' defensive zone from Matt Foley, breaking into the attacking zone and beating Ty Taylor clean to put the hosts. The Clan though they'd equalised later in the period, however, the goal was called back after review due to a distinct kicking motion.”
5 grammar/basic errors and a smattering of poor style ones. 8/10. Excellent effort.

I'll put my tool box back then. Had a screwdriver opening up the speaker. Glad it was not my hearing going after all.

Either the league is about to be awash with cash, or someone perhaps should've put some validation on the auction page...

So how do they sort that?
Void the Beskorowany auction?
I highly doubt the £1bn & 39p will be paid

EIHL have been using that system for a while and I can't remember them ever having an issue. Until of course Twitter jumps on a bidding war that's getting slightly out of hand and some comedy genius comes along and bids several billion (you see, it's funny because it's more than the previous comedy bid of 25 million. LoL)
This is why we can't have nice things.

There not going to be able to flog these. In future, card numbers will have to be given up.
