Stretched the season by one week already. We could be in trouble here if ice time also unavailable to some.

If we are looking to replace Matheson next season, we could do worse than Ehrhardt. He's a solid dman, good on pp and pk, and logs plenty of minutes.

We have had similar and better quarterback D players in the past and let them all slip through our fingers.

I too would be surprised but maybe the lure of a nice shiny rink, maybe a an assistant coach role might tempt him.

Assistant coach should be on the bench like Whistle

Doesn't seem to have been raised elsewhere on here, but the Blaze have been fined by the EIHL "for the conduct of off-ice staff" during their game against the Blaze adding, "The actions during Sunday’s game brought the game into disrepute and will not be tolerated at any arena in the Premier Sports Elite League". Allegedly the Blaze announcer donned a Refs jersey and offered to help the officials after some unappreciated calls. The Refs then demanded he be ejected from the game, which he was (or he left voluntarily, because I'm not sure if refs can remove announcers). For me it's a real Mickey Mouse decision from the league. www.eliteleague.co.uk/article/2138-blazed-fined-for-incident-in-game-86

And then the EIHL put out a statement about abuse not being tolerated. Mmmm some double standards here as usual. You couldn’t make this stuff up ! 🙄🤣

If you’re going to use quote marks you need to quote what was actually said. “Great unwashed” was the phrase used, make of it what you will. Not clever by Hogarth, nor the announcer, despite the announcer’s pleas that he was only having a laugh… This is good stuff by the league. An issue arose, and has been formally dealt with. We move on.

I must admit I hadn't read that Hogarth tweet, but it's not a great look. That said he's deleted his Twitter so maybe that is perhaps something he's been told to do. I wonder what reception Hogarth gets on his next game in Coventry... PS. the actual quote was just "unwashed".

Totally uncalled for by both. But where is the Elites ‘call’ on the referee?
