If the Steelers knew it wasn't cough medicine they weren't likely to stand behind DeLuca appealing a UKDA decision, they'd pay him off and send him on his way, a UKDA final ban would result in a IIHF ban but IIHF bans aren't recognized by USA Hockey and Hockey Canada, he was free to sign in the ECHL.
Any final ban decision by UKDA/IIHF won't change that, he just couldn't play in any country where the IIHF has jurisdiction. i.e IHUK/IIHF.

Sounds like McNally lost the plot a bit end of the 2nd period in the Dundee/Cardiff CC game.

Couple of scraps with lino’s in the middle of it, then a skirmish with a fan as he left the ice. Although the fan is obviously an idiot as he comes flying down the stand to start it. |

That fan has balls bigger than his brain. McNally has just been scrapping with half the team, what does that bloke think will happen if he gets his hands on McNally? Although I love the kid in the red jersey by the plexiglass getting proper excited when the nut job comes steaming past! |

There is quite a list of misdemeanours there. What they add up to is anyone's guess. "Resisting officials" alone is up to 3 games. (See blurb on Broll incident) My guess is 2-4 games. |

Agreed, the bigger issue is that he carries on punching while being restrained.
The fan interaction isn't ideal, but it's not much in the scheme of things.
DOPS will probably see it differently though!

I hope he gets a 5+ game ban. McNally shouldn't be playing if he can't control himself. He can take his childish dirty dangerous cheapshots elsewhere.

I think one of the biggest issues for DOPS may be that he keeps punching when the linesman is deliberately trying to cover and protect the guy lying facedown on the floor. (Kudos to the linesman by the way!) Some of those punches seem to connect with the linesman. So the "opponent" is in a position where he's vulnerable and unable to defend himself, the linesman tries to protect his head and McNally keeps swinging hitting the linesman. That's multiple infractions in one regardless of everything else that happens |

A Dundee official who was at the gate when McNally was leaving the ice stated this on the Inferno today. |

In fairness, you can see something at 1.04/5 on the video. McNally isn't looking at the stands then though, and barely seems to notice, so there's no way he (or you) knows that it comes from that particular fan, who he then starts gesturing to as he leaves the ice.

The fan 'interaction' is nothing really. Just some idiot having a go at a player.
However, Mcnally's ice behaviour for the incident is pretty bad & should incur a 3 to 4 games ban.
