Chase Schaber leaves the Fliers having never actually joined the team this year. "We signed Chase with the hope that he would have returned to our lineup this season however due to some administrative complications this has not worked out." Never a great sign when the statement ultimately ends "No further comment will be made by the club" fifeflyers.co.uk/66_statementchaseschaber.html

On Social Media the dwindling crowd is noticed as supporters complain of the way the club is treating them. HHmm have I heard all this before, somewhere?

Money talks, there's many ways to hide spend in a wage budget.

Devils release Ben O’connor. Didn’t take them long to figure that out did it.

If O’Connor ends up in Sheffield then surely they’ll have to release somebody to stay within the wage cap and not just Valdix or Traversa !

I'd say Jokinen's CV is/was massively better than this bloke's, to be fair. Not sure Richards's is, but there you go. Interesting nove. Coughler left his Danish team in October after what was thought to be a potentially season ending concussion injury. From their blurb at the time. "Since then, Jake Coughler has struggled to get back on the training field, but must now admit that the concussion is worse than first assumed and therefore keeps him out indefinitely. Against this background, Jake Coughler has for health reasons wanted his contract terminated as the impact of the concussion keeps him away from the ice for an extended period of time and therefore he is unable to fulfill his contractual obligations. During his career, Jake Coughler has suffered several concussions and we in the Odense Bulldogs naturally have great respect for Jake's decision to resign for ice hockey for a while."

Its like buying a used car.(no, I'm not quoting Swiss Toni ) Do you go for an older car, more miles on the clock, everything works fine but starting to show its' age, or go for a newer model that looks ok but might have a fault that could turn into something serious.

To use your analogy a Rolls Royce is always a Rolls Royce and because of that they cost alot of money, a Lada is always a Lada and there is a reason they are/were cheap.... If you buy Lada's dont expect Rolls Royce....no matter what age of the car....

If you buy Lada's dont expect Rolls Royce....no matter what age of the car.... I agree, but my use of the analogy was in reference to Jokinen and Coughler.Jokinen was never a RR, more likely a Volvo, solid, reliable, unspectacular. But after a 20yr career/miles on the clock even a Volvo doesnt perform like it did when new. Meanwhile, Coughler a player with potential, better than a very cheap car. more like a Ford/VW but currently sat in the garage awaiting long term repair if someone wants to take on the project, has the chance to be a Ford/VW again. Or better. This is probably more confusing than the EIHL fixtures list but I know what I'm trying to say !

We'll be playing the Lions next. We might have a slight chance against them
