Considering this is a try-out for GB players, who is and is not potentially 'doing it'?
EDIT: Just seen latest post so,...other than Whistle as 'trying his best'.

If there is one positive from this series so far it has to be Whistle. Only a few games in so far but he has been outstanding. If it carries on this way Bowns will be under real preasure for the GB number 1 at the worlds. Still plenty of games to go yet, but he has certainly gone some way to convincing me he could be ready to be an EIHL number 1. Don’t think you should be querying Bowns, it’s the rest of them who need a kick up the pants. Look who’s between the pipes at the other end of the ice, the kid hasn’t even played a pro game before this series has he.

Bowns hasn't done too much wrong, but Whistle has been better in this series so far. That's why I said under pressure as opposed to Whistle should be GBs number 1.

4-7, Cangelosi with his second of the game. What's more, the OS says we scored in the first period. Miracle's do happen. Mind, says we have only scored 1 in the third. DOH Opps, 8-4 (I'm out of here)

When is Dineen going to turn up.....has he actually arrived in Nottingham yet ! Yes, so far he’s struggled to make any kind of impact. Despite the patronage of one of the more allegedly “knowledgable” posters.

That first 2minutes is still just about the difference.

(Apart from when they thought he was Domingue on the first webcast interview.🤣) Despite his decent ish cv it must be a nice little keep fit holiday he’s here for.

We once again "win" the last 2 periods of a game.

Dineen clearly came to 'keep in shape' before he returns to the Norwegian league 😄

Considering they had 3 days rest before this, I suggest an early bed.
EDIT: Or were they sleeping in the first?

Sheffield looked like they wanted it more. View the series as you will but Sheffield are certainly taking it seriously. Big hits, turned it up whenever they needed to and didn't accept anybody getting to close to the goalie. The writing was on the wall well before tonight, or even a puck was dropped though. Steelers showed how serious they were with their recruitment. Their protected Brits were miles ahead of Panthers and their imports as a collective are a level above too.

Whoever is obsessed with individual imports putting in the effort in this competition needs to chill .. the day if was announced I knew it would be a GB warm up camp/spring scrimmage 🤣
Imagine paying 99 sheets for 12 games played half hearted and little to no pace ... 😂😂

Sheffield are making it a habit beating us at the NIC. Does anybody think Doucet and Wallace have made it clear how important games against them are?
A very disappointing first period, followed by two ok periods. Sheffield still made scoring look easy in the 2nd and 3rd though. They’ve got two deadly forward lines and a defence that gets the puck to them with speed. We didn’t defend well as a team and we couldn’t cope with them I’m afraid.
On a positive note, Cangelosi, Domingue and Boivin showed their offensive threats, unfortunately, they were the only ones to do so. It’s a shame Cangelosi is going back to Norway, he did show a bit of bite during the game which I liked and he put the puck in the net. I think he’d be a fan favourite in Nottingham. If Boivin continues to play as he has done offensively then Doucet needs to get him back for next season.

There’s a massive massive difference in quality and that’s also where the relevant fire about rivalry comes in too because these imports won’t be bothered about it. Liam Stenton plus/minus tonight MiNUS FIVE ! 🙄

Liam Stenton plus/minus tonight MiNUS FIVE ! 🙄 Stats can “prove” anything. Cage favourite Matt Myers was -1 tonight, FGS. Personally, I think Stenton has a decent future.

Bit strange to focus on the taxi-squad junior Brit. He was minus 4 btw.
We had #2 pick in the draft, we could've trusted Whistle to backstop us and used that to add some potential British scoring (Hammond or Ben Lake), or a British defenceman - Sam Jones, Batch and Swindlehurst all went before we picked our second after trading for Bowns. We put our eggs in the netminding basket, and it didn't work tonight.

Lots of guys packed it in tonight. I would keep the guys who brought it tonight despite the score.

They obviously got Stenton and Betteridge mixed up then because last night they were showing minus 5 and 3 and now they’re both showing minus 4. I looked at The Brits in the context of comparing Brit packs.

Johnno May 17 shots on goal, one of the highest counts in the in the series and so far he’s accumulated the grand total of 1 assist. 🙄
