The legend was my pub of choice for match days ever since the Cricks went. Its not until you get news like this you realise what part a pub has played in your life. Be critical of it if you like(I have myself on occasion), we all have our preferences but it is a hockey pub with a hell of a lot of people who have made good friends in there. Celebrated some of our grearest wins in there to. Regardless of if you were a regular to the legend or not it does bring quite a big issue should it end up closing(highly likely). 3 doesn't go in to 2 very well. On the busy days where Bunkers, Saltbox and the lengend are all usually rammed there will now not be enough space with what is left. So even if you drink in the Bunkers and aint really a fan of the legend you better be prepared for a change. It's going to get even tougher to get to the bar in there now. Perhaps they can look to permenantly open a bar upstairs or something. Fingers crossed the legend somehow finds a way to survive, if not let's hope something else pops up close enough to the arena to fill the void.

Although I’m not a local anymore. A place you have memories from has you feeling sad with this news. I’m more likely to be having a cup of tea and a cake in Mary’s Kitchen over the road but fear fans will miss a second pub now that has a connection with the hockey. Especially as the pub supported the sport giving fans, not inside the arena at play-off time a chance to feel they were there with the screens up and running.

Did most of my drink pre and post match in the castle. Ended up there after the Cricks shut (nothing will ever replace that pub)
I went to the castle more as it was convenient I was never a huge fan of the place. Will be interesting where all those regulars wind up going now? The way the pub trade is going they'll be none near the arena as soon

I went there the 1st time because they were showing The 2nd Leg of a Play Off Quarter Final against Belfast one Easter Monday and I still remember watching The Continental Cup victory there.
It's a real shame because it was amazing when a big game was on especially The Play Off Quarter Final 1st Leg against Fife and that demolition job we did on Sheffield last Season.
