TOP FORTY APPEARANCES FOR THE CLUB
Not a lot to do just now. OK I'm penning some information on the history of the sport but as regards statistics it's all been shelved for a bit.
Though I have recently re-checked my player numbers in that I have added European tally to the original domestic play that I had stored into the computer.
This is only the top 40 players who have been loyal in the time they have spent with the team.
I can't (won't) detail all, not only because of the reams of work but just a few statisticians I know will have the complete works. When I fail to continue with this historical 'piece' regards statistics I hope someone else will take it up. But not everyone is stat crazy and in particular in this way. But we need to keep the records for posterity.
What surprises are there in this list?
Did you expect more or less from a player?
I have lists for all-time of each category but decided just to lament upon the guys who have probably high numbers due to the time they have spent with us.
Davis Clarke may have caught Randall Weber with if's and but's. Will Robert Lacvhowicz add to his tally after the long lay off? As well as Stephen Lee or Matt Myers too.For sure a few names have not been able to 'add' because of the covid:19 scenario and lately less home grown talent may have little chance for a long while before hitting the heights of some above them.
What may have Ashley Tait done if he had stayed here?
Look how many games young Ollie Betteridge has had and so many GB games to add.
Many of these players at the top would have been due a retired shirt (I'm not fussed with this) when you look at things.
There are still a fair few old-timers from the first era in here.
