Folks, you have to remember....he’s a clan fan. He’s used to watching a team find ways to lose rather than find a way to win when the pressures on. Plus you’d think he’d be used to watching glorified training sessions being a clan fan....usually they spend the last third of the season in mid table mediocrity and then play 2 games that mean something only to come short again. That’s why they’re all so loud at playoffs....they’ve had nothing to cheer about since January normally. At least we have half your budget as a reason for our mid-table mediocrity. What's Panthers excuse for being so poo poo? Half your budget.... Some cast iron bru facts here from wantsabrain.

£46 is a lot of money for a 1 off friendly especially at this time of year.
What is the likelihood of current NHL players icing during this game, doesn't have to be the higher tier players (Crosby would be amazing) but I don't want it to be prospects either.
I'm guessing this will sell out early, should have fans from all teams at the game.
Wonder if we will get USA soon

They may decide to start a backup netminder and give some of the 'lesser' players more ice time than they may get a week later... but you'll be seeing plenty of NHLers, I'm sure.

No I expect GB will get relegated this time round due to the fact Belerus cant get relegated I think. It's worse than you think. Belarus and Latvia are co-hosting the 2021 Worlds, so neither of those two teams can be relegated next May. Which means GB have to finish above 2 other teams who aren't either Belarus or Latvia if they are to stay up at the top level. A task made all the harder by the fact that the other teams now know that GB can achieve more than expected... we won't be underestimated again. If staying up in Slovakia was a minor miracle, then staying up in Switzerland will be a major miracle! But who knows? None of us expected to win the group in Budapest in April 2018, and none of us expected to avoid relegation in Kosice earlier this year. The GB team have shown that they can dig deep and massively overachieve. I am expecting relegation next May. But I could be wrong - again. That rule stinks. Whether they’re hosting the Worlds or not if they deserve to be relegated then they should be. Poor old GB have got no chance of avoiding relegation, it sounds like they’re playing under stupid rules the EIHL would be proud of ! 🙄

It's a bit different it being co-hosted, but there you go.

Some of the big names are known to be happy to play, others not. Here's the eventual roster from last year's Canada team that GB faced in Slovakia:- <link to IIHF>

Some players fly over to the worlds if their team get knocked out in the 1st round..
Some coaches leave the door open for certain players to decide if they want to play etc

As much as I would love to see McDavid, Nurse, RNH et all, I would much prefer my Oiler’s to have a good tilt in the play offs! Least the Germans will be weaker without #29 if Oilers make it to the end of season party!

Although not enthralled by senior hockey in the UK I could not pass up the opportunity to see Team Canada over here just once in my lifetime. A number of years ago I did watch a representative NHL team play the Penticton Knights in the Okanagan and have not seen that quality of play for many years. I will be supporting GB of course but whatever this will be a night to hopefully revel in some fine quality hockey. It will be a family affair so costing me and the lady wife an arm and a leg, I lost the toss so that's my arm and my leg only eg a surgical attack on my bank account.

Able to purchase senior tickets now. So must take the chance to go to this one. Could be beyond me to see this in my lifetime.Still near as £30 for a poor boy. When buying they were flying. My computer didn't work capture, thus had to revert to the laptop. Now I can't print the ticket off presently. Would the rush on the purchase have anything to go with it? I was able to buy Olympic ticket and print it two days prior.

Just 90 tickets remaining in the bowl, not sure about the suites. I’d be very surprised if they don’t put the seating behind the goal at stage end like the playoffs.

This needs to be more than a game, it needs to be a spectacle, not just we turn up, watch the warm up and then the game like we do normally.
It needs to be an event.

Would be amazing if they could arrange some kind of jersey signing or something with some of the Canada boys. Or something along those lines. I understand the worlds are only 3 days after though so player interaction may be a stretch.

TBH,they should be making the effort, nobody this time last week could have predicted that this would be happening, so everything that can be done to make this game seem to be an occasion should be done. If everything is done properly, who's to say that we can't get USA over or another top nation. This could also attract top sponsors and maybe TV coverage. I'm assuming Freesports will cover it but BBC did show that GB VS USA Basketball game. That was also a slaughter. This is an opportunity It's more than just turn up, watch and go home

Highly unlikely. I'm hearing the game is sold out! it's more than just turn up, watch and go home Unfortunately that's exactly what it is in the eyes of top ranked nations .. it may be a big night out for GB hockey fans but to the likes of Canada/U.S. its just another warm up game to them. It would be nice to arrange some form of meet and greet but I'd say those chances are slim to none

I'd expect GB to receive a signed jersey from Canada to go with the no doubt one off GB jerseys they'll auction.
Personally I wish they did a ticket add on of meet the Team Canada players.

Pretty impressive if you ask me, announced on the 15th, on sale on the 18th and sold out within a week. Considering the cost of tickets, Christmas around the corner and people's payday around 1-2 weeks away, it shows that if you can provide something out of the ordinary we will respond. Did it ever reach General Sale?
